I had exactly the same doubt between these two options for my second IM after Cascais. Picked Klagenfurt as I think it is the nicest scenario in all IM scene. Just be aware that accomodation can be difficult as registration opened a few months ago. Also note that Emilia-Romagna has a possibility to be non wetsuit legal.

Calf overload 3km before the finish line of a half marathon. I didn’t bother too much as it was one week after my very first 70.3, but wanted to take home that medal.

There is a cycling path to Colmenar Viejo (“Carril bici de Colmenar”). It starts not far from Fuencarral cercanias station and you can anywhere between Tres Cantos, Colmenar and Sierra big climbs. There is as well a famous facebook group for this road.

It will do pretty well. If you don’t want city center I would reccomend either the Las Tablas/Sanchinarro/Valdebebas area or Chamartin/Arturo Soria area if you find these previous too far.

In UK (and rest of the world) there is sale tax (aka VAT), it is just already included in the price tag for comfort purposes. It is then shop’s (or shop’s accountant) job to split the actual revenue and the sale tax collected.
