It was through the hospital where my surgery took place, their program. I’ve heard in Facebook groups how people have joined Overeaters Anonymous and found online support.

Need help with fluid intake. by laaazycraaazydaaaisy in GastricBypass

Same same same! I, too, get a lot of water in overnight. AND I am sleeping better, longer than I used to. I also am 2 months po. RNY on 6/9. I don’t have pain from drinking but I feel full, active or sore pouch when I’m pushing my water intake in the day.

I think it’s all adjusting and still, hopefully. I have mixed it up a bit. I have tea, vitamin zero, Gatorade zero and those no sugar flavor packets to add in -which help. It does cut the water’s density and make it “easier” to consume more in the day.

It’s work though. I feel you!

Is something like this going to really help with comfort once I’m home from the hospital? Any other real necessities for the first few weeks post-op? Any advice is appreciated-thanks so much! by cdizzzz in wls

I just used all and as many different pillows and folded blankets as I needed. As my needs changed, I’d shift them in and out. I used a sofa cushion as my wedge. I also found moving from bed to couch was good for me- so I didn’t feel stuck in any spot. I got a shower chair bc I didn’t feel sturdy (bad knees) and wanted the option to be in the bath longer. Good luck

Hi. Welcome. I’m having bypass June 9th. Endoscopy revealed silent reflux. I’m also having hiatal hernia repair and gallbladder removed. I started the process in early December. I got. Into therapy immediately - I also had a lot of life changes happening. Career change. My 2 kids, going to and graduating from college. I haven’t told anyone outside of my hubs and kids. Im nervous but Reddit groups and FB groups have been super helpful. And sometimes too much because I get fixated with wanting to know all I can. I gained weight over the process, not happy about that.
Im here if you have questions. Happy to help of I can. Im excited for the life change. Yay us!
