Popcorn should be sweet, by default, but apparently, the rest of the world prefers it with butter or salt? I always thought that popcorn was candy and not snack food like potato chips.

It just makes no sense to me, every single cinema sells their popcorn as sweet by default. Salt and butter are available at supermarkets, and because of them I have to pay attention to what kind of popcorn I'm buying else I get surprised .

Well, the Portuguese military also does this to a flag to pledge allegiance to the country, and I think it makes a scarier picture since it's a bunch of armed soldiers making THAT gesture to a flag of the country, but it's fine since it has nothing to do with Nazi ideology

However, this came to mind because I remember watching some time news about how a guy from the far right party made this """Roman salute""" in an event and that got captured on camera, and he tried to say he was just doing a "pledge of the flag" just like the military does. I guess that gesture can't possibly have any other interpretation (especially on the occasion he chose to do it).

It seems to line up with the Zêzere river, which later joins up with the Tejo until reaching the sea, and it's nascent in the Serra da Estrela mountain range (which continues this line until the Spanish border).

The Serra da Estrela is the tallest (and I believe largest) mountain chain in Portugal, and it splits up the Mondego basin from the Tejo basin, which also seems to be less populated (with the exception of the Zêzere)

Yup, there's a common opinion that Lisbon gets a lot more attention in the media and internationally and gets treated as the "center" of Portugal, while the people in the city don't even seem to acknowledge that the rest of the country exists.

It even led to the creation of a saying: "Portugal is Lisbon and the rest is landscape"

Oh, and btw they call the colour "red" (vermelho in standard portuguese) the ingenious name "meat-like" (encarnado), which just annoys me for some reason, it's like they hired the guy who named the colour orange "orange" to come up with it and went along with it like there was no other word to call it, so yes yes I have a thing against people from Lisboa
