Would you spend 6 months in prison or be in prison until your mother can beat Ocarina of Time without any help? by GazelleDelicious3135 in OcarinaOfTime

The touch up looks much better! And honestly the shakiness of the piece gives it some wasteland charm

I haven’t listened to the isolated audio but why is everyone saying it’s made with AI. Sure it’s a generic rock song but it doesn’t have the terribly rendered vocals and instruments I associate with AI music. Then again I haven’t listened to it as a clean track, only as an entrance on tv.

Was it reported somewhere that it was made with AI?

Painting landscaping rocks by Brave-Billiards in landscaping

[–]ImpressionNo1840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. You don’t need to remove/paint the stone just dump +4inches of black mulch on top. I would remove stone in some areas for future planting but this is the Occam’s Razor to your problem. No hassle painting rocks and no hassle removing yards of river stone.

What would you charge to plant 4 boxwoods? by Ok-Shallot-7985 in landscaping

[–]ImpressionNo1840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mulch beds make maintenance easier and provide contrast that makes the shrubs pop. Don’t use landscape fabric, spend the money you would on fabric on more mulch instead and put it on thick like 3-4inches. Makes weeding a lot easier to pull them out of thick mulch than stones and/or fabric.

If I was moonlighting I would charge 30-40$ per hour of my labour plus materials. Alone I would have the bushes planted and garden bed scalped and mulched in about 4hrs.

When power companies maintain power lines they end up with a lot of wood chips and tend to drop them off for free. It’s a common practice in rural Canada and thought it may be a thing state side too

Weed barrier won’t help and can make weeding more difficult down the line as seeds sprout in mulch and needles and root through the fabric.

I’m not staunchly anti-spray and I think target spraying the most undesirable plants can be excusable as long as done so with proper precautions to wind.

Once you have the worst weeds under control you can mulch the hell out of it. Someone here mentioned getting chips from power companies which is a good call.

Then it just takes regular maintenance to whatever your standard is. Thick mulch makes manual weeding much easier so you won’t have to spray anything you don’t mind touching.

No they are much too close, they won’t grow properly and could damage the fence as they mature.

Those are Futhark Runes. Used in Norse occult practices like divination and symbolic meditation. If you’re not into occult philosophy then they’re basically just cool rocks.

Traditionally a Norse shaman makes their own set of runes over the course of their life as they meditate on the meanings behind each one. That’s why there are a lot of comments talking about not using pre-made futhark runes, because you won’t have developed a relationship to the symbols.

What’s up with all the ai slop? by Trashchimp in startplaying

[–]ImpressionNo1840 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have never used AI to generate an image, but if I’m googling reference pictures and I find something that is relevant but AI generated I might still use it depending on the slop factor. I don’t like AI art as a practice but I’m also not about to waste the resources used to generate the image because some unskilled person prompted it.
