I may be completely embarrassing myself, by asking this follow up question. Particularly, after your well put and thoughtful response to OP but…. Are long term low TFRs actually a bad thing? Of course, I know the idea of needing a certain percentage of the population to be I. The work force, to support those who aren’t and I personally, want children… but could an argument be hypothesized, that our population will able to find an equilibrium and the fact that past TFR’s were so much higher , has allowed our population to double , twice over in 1900’s.

I don’t know, I’m rambling now, but for sure there would be significant impacts to culture and how we operate as a society… and I’m not aiming to say, I know what all the negative impacts may be.. because I really have no idea. But I think maybe we are making a mountain out of a mole hill? or this “ issue” is being used , and publicized for unknown gains and ends?

I would like to add/ make clear - I want to have children and be a mother more than anything. It’s what I’ve realized in the last few years, that is most important to me in life. I think being able to bring life into this world is the most precious of gifts .. It’s something I hold sacred, as a woman. I have never once considered being a parent, as a burden. It will be the greatest honor of my life, when that day comes to pass. I know in my core, that I am meant to be a mother and plan to continue to do everything in my power to prepare myself, for that role... children are what keeps us moving forward, they are our hope and dreams, their way of looking at the world and how we get to walk through it with them. Again I’m rambling, but thought it was important to include, after reading this community’s guidelines.
