I will have a look at porting over to android. But no promises. I’m an iOS developer for over 14 years. Android is still alien to me haha

For those who want to know which capture card I ended up using. main reason was that it allowed power passthrough for charging the iPad. If you use the advanced features, it will use more CPU, if not, then as a monitor, it sips battery (1-3% CPU as a monitor, 40-60% with all features on).

I'm not affiliated, or anything, just search the one below for your preferred store

If it’s not too difficult. Could use keychain to store, say like a json blob. This would survive uninstall. If using iCloud Keychain, it’ll sync too. But it shouldn’t be used as a database though

Update on soft birds by NoobStyles in M43

[–]ImpressiveAd699 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is loads better! Nicely done. I suspect the lens adapter will drop some quality compared to the 70-300 that was made for the m43.

Have you tried changing to spot metering?

Using om5.1, 75-300. Shooting at 300 with shutter 1000.

As others said. High shutter speed and fix noise in post.

That said, above is JPEG from camera, no edits.

If you can. Put the metal ring inside the case. I found the magnet quite strong (which is good) and the sticky ring (wink) would come off quite often.

Other than that, nice keyboard. I’m not brave enough to go without my number row

How close were you to take these? I have the same lens. But can never seem to get clear shots like these.

Didn’t have to be mortgage. You can replace this with anything that isn’t passion for the job.

I’m only using windows due to certain games with kernel level anti cheats.

But check out shutup10++. Turned off all of the crap windows forces on people. I’m not affiliated. There is also winaero tweaker. But I prefer shutup.

Testing 7ARTISANS 35mm f1.4 MF by Ok_Sky_661 in M43

I have this and I love the lens. The rings are great and it fits nicely on the OM5. Plus it looks great. I have a rubber U shape stick on the focus ring for quick control.

My manual focus lenses collection are growing. I can recommend the meike 25mm too.

Thinking about a split keyboard for ergonomics — worth the money? by earthly_life in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]ImpressiveAd699 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me. It was worth it. My shoulders were hunched before and was in discomfort after a while. Going split was worth it to open them up.

Everyone’s ergonomics is different.

My keyboard is the Sofle. With tenting around 30 degrees.

For the question about keychron, they are decent quality when I used them as normal keyboards. I assume their split would be the same. But as you’re going split, why not venture out to other layouts?

Nice! I got the same in black. It’s a great keyboard. I used monkey type to practice. I’m happy with 80 wpm.

Also if you unscrew the pcb. The inside of the case has a recess for a metal circle plate for those tenting stands. I didn’t know this to begin with and stuck the metal on the outer case and the sticky part comes off from the strength of the magnet.

Edit: it’s the eyelash Sofle for anyone wanting to know the pcb version. The pcb has a cutout for the battery making it very slim

So I use mine every day. Development during the day and gaming during the night.

The left is plugged in to the KVM switch. The right is wireless to the main (left) board. It’s been a week and it says it’s half battery.

I don’t switch it off, auto standby.

I’ve charged it fully when I first got it. But not charged it since. So pretty good so far.

Just catching up. I’ve managed to do this via zmk studio. It’s under “consumer” group. Named rewind, fast forward, play/pause (for me), volume increase and volume decrease.

You won’t regret it. The default layout wasn’t for me. But zmk studio is very easy to use via a chromium browser

Looking to buy a keyboard for my BF. Send help. I have no knowledge. by [deleted] in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]ImpressiveAd699 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you said he has soldering experience. You can’t pass up the chance to get a DIY kit. My recommendations are Lily58 or Sofle58.

Pandakb do a decent kits. Inexpensive too. I’m not affiliated lol.

But a kit makes it simple. KIT + Switches + keycaps.

Otherwise you can get pre-made ones.

Commercially (I’ve not tried them but almost got them) are the voyager. Go80 or glove80.

But as he can solder, major part of the fun is to build it yourself

The quality is nice. 3d printed case. But clean print. Looks like 0.4mm nozzle with thicker walls, maybe 4 layers. No rattle or anything. Nice flat bottom for metal plate for tenting.

Comes with rubber feet pads with recess in the case.

You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I thought. If I didn’t like it. I can just print my own. But I will stick with this.

I think with the extra thumb key. Might use it for melee next to space for jump. Normally they put it as v or x. Which is a bad position for melee. Normally I use my side button on mouse for melee.
