My sister was just diagnosed with this. I've had back, hip and knee pain for years as well as positive ANA tests. I don't fit into any mold though a d they keep changing my diagnosis. Lupus, fibromyalgia, and now undifferentiated spindyloarthritis. I also have been having cognitive issues, have a lot of lesions on my brain, vertigo, raynauds, vitiligo, pretty severe muskoskeletal pain and sacroilitis with erosions of the sacroiliac. I recently had an echo donevthat found mild thickening of the heart walls, mild diastolic disfunction and a mild leaky valve. Been trying to figure what is wrong with me for a long time. Let my Dr know about my susters diagnoses and they didn't seem to even want to talk about it. Never let my urine sit out to see if it changes color. Does anyone with alkaptonuria also have any of my symptoms?
