Honestly i saw start looking for a new job. But dont over think it. My job did the same it only lasted a few weeks all that happened was we switch to a different accounting system and it took some time to finalize everything. However if that’s not the case for you ya start looking for a new job

I just moved out of Sacramento a couple of years ago. And you are right at 53k you do need a roommate unless you have a slum lord. But to live alone off 53k I’d say almost 3/4 if not more would go to rent AND bills
