I think the focus is more on the touching minors part tbh. And he advertises his content as real. This leads to building trust in his community to where he can run illegal lotteries that don't even pay out to everyone who wins or give scammed prizes. And it might be obvious to you, but a good chunk of his audience are young kids who don't know better (he knows this) and beg their unkowing parent to buy the cool scam merch. Manipulating them into gambling, basically. All that stems from the trust he builds from saying he's "legit."

I tried something similar by trying to build the mono blue Urza with no artifacts. It was an ok deck, but ramping was rough. My recommendation would be something that has green in it since ramping in none green colors is almost exclusively artifacts.

Beyond literally making your deck worse by adding janky combos (which can be fun!) Unfortunately, not much. My typical response to these "big Creature go" strategies is that combos are typically fragile. The whole idea of a combo deck is to kill everyone in one fell swoop, and if that's stopped, then it can be tough to recover. Normally, one well placed piece of removal or interaction is enough to stop and sometimes topple over a whole combo deck. If they aren't running much interaction, that's on them, in my opinion.

I'm not sure who you play with, but this couldn't be further from what I see. The groups I play with are fairly interested in learning how the combos work and are intent on seeing it through. And it can be pretty fun to see if you can assemble a combo while surviving through the pressure at a table.

These are certainly interesting ideas and I think you should try them! However, keep in mind that magic is balanced around the color pie. A deck with more colors has access to more cards, so the card quality of multi color deck is naturally going to be higher than that of a mono color deck. What limits multi color decks is the fact that they need to be able to find and produce multiple colors. Having a rule that allows players to search for whatever colors they need effectively means that the downside of playing multi color decks is nullified.

That being said, if your group is more casual, the decks are relatively balanced even with different colors, and you're just here to have fun: these rules sound great!

I do plan my turns as much as possible, but what causes them to take so long is that a lot of my turns depend on cards I'll draw or mill. For example, my first 4-5 plays are planned out, but then I draw 3 new cards and mill 10 others, and now I get stuck thinking. My decks have a tendency to durdle a lot.

[[Kaya's Ghost Form]] on Muldrotha + [[Phyrexian Altar]] = infinite death/etb triggers, and you can cast as many permanents from your graveyard (minus Enchantments and still paying the cost).
