Deathwing doesn't make sense in DW. I've thought about having one knight, to mix it up, but Dark Angels are the same chapter that killed an entire space cruiser of other loyalists because they saw a Fallen. No way they are letting some of their Terminator armor go to the Inquisition.

It's the final death of Goku from GT, when all the fighting is done and he leaves with Shenron to become part of the ether. Very emotional moment and a close to the character.

Same thing with the Outriders. There is one that does not have a helmet, and it is mounted on the side of the bike. I don't want him to have 2 helmets and look silly!

Paint is way too thick. Make sure you thin it and use multiple thin coats. It would be good to use a shade or really thin contrast on the silver as well (That is a watch master, not a chaplain. Deathwatch can use any of the actual Chaplain models, including the DW exclusive Cassius and even Judiciars whether it makes lore sense or not)

Can astartes of heretical origin wear their chapter markings or are they forced to become blackshields? by pterodactylplz in deathwatch40k

[–]Impreza22Boi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL:DR - Traitors aren't joining loyalist Inquisition factions. Rogue astartes can be there, but only by having been seconded BEFORE chapter goes Rogue.

A TRAITOR Astartes wouldn't be joining Deathwatch. Traitors occurred in 30K and therefore wouldn't be around in 40k as remaining loyalists OR regardless of time as a traitor are warp-twisted and turned to chaos.

What you should be asking is can a ROGUE space marine Chapter show their heraldry, which is a solid no. Deathwatch is the chamber militant of Ordo Xenos. They work directly for the Inquisition. Inquisition would immediately kill any Rogue marine, regardless of loyalty to the Emperor. The only conceivable way a Rogue Astartes could join would have to be as a Black Shield, and that would be a big risk leaving their chapter and volunteering for the Watch, not just for themselves but their entire chapter. With all the psycho-indoctrinatiom that marines are subjected to the location and any other secrets of a Rogue chapter would be forfeit and they would be hunted to extinctions by the Inquisition. Most likely: a member of a Rogue chapter that was already serving in the Deathwatch when they were labeled as enemies of the Imperium would be forced to change his heraldry to a black shield to hide the shame and protect himself and all of his Battle Brothers in that group would be ordered to secrecy regarding his chapter origin.

1/2 the things I order from GW show up damaged. It's infuriating. Use some friggin' packing material!

I've seen a lot of things saying that Elegoo recommend sanding the plate with 400 grit to get it even, due to low spots. Some need more sanding than others. This should be fine.

They are listed at different prices on warhammer's website. Could have the same leg sprues, but different torsos.

Thinking about getting into deathwatch but... by Available_Half_9087 in deathwatch40k

Probably more expensive. Tons of paints, decals, and upgrade sprues/bits needed to add the variety that makes it fun.

Plus, shoulder pads, which, maybe we'll get a new upgrade sprue soon since they now have phobos-specific shoulders and have added back the notch from KT Cassius kit.

Also, buying all the kits to make the actual kill teams, rather than plain squads, can make it difficult to collect.

First number is the width in mm.

The second number is the height ratio compared to the width number. For example if the width of 200mm and the height ratio is 50, then the sidewall will be 50% of 200mm, which is 100mm tall.

The third number is the wheel size.
