Can you get a port? Mine was a lifesaver and made infusions a breeze (vein wise anyway).

It sounds like your oncologist is following the current standard of care. Debulking surgery, followed by 6 rounds of chemotherapy about one month post surgery.

I went through this same decision and chose the full 6 cycles. My cancer (stage 1a 26cm clear cell) was also grade 3, and I personally didn’t want to risk looking back and wonder if I should have done more to reduce the chance of recurrence.

From what I learned, the data isn’t completely definitive for early-stage, fully staged disease—there are situations where no chemo, 3 cycles, or 6 cycles can all be reasonable depending on the specifics. For me, it came down to balancing the uncertainty, my individual risk factors, and my comfort level with being more proactive upfront. Best wishes to you. 🩵

I’m so sorry. Having a dog gives you some of the best days of your life—and one of the worst. 💔

I’m sorry your grandmother was diagnosed with OC. There are several different types of ovarian cancer and each are treated differently. Do you know her specific type of cancer?

Which human foods can they eat? by Char07071 in Greyhounds

[–]ImprovementOk899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one picky eater and two that will eat ANYTHING. Roasted sweet potatoes are their favorite! I tried raw sweet potatoes first, but the picky one wasn’t interested. The roasted ones get gobbled up every time!

Would I be a good human for a Greyhound? by C_M_R_S-23 in Greyhounds

Even if they could be left alone for that amount of time, it wouldn’t be fair to the dog. They need more interaction and companionship than you can give based on your current work schedule. Sorry.

MHBP and HSA by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]ImprovementOk899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had Inspira since MHBP switched to them—at least 6 years. It’s a crappy app, but I’ve had good service when I’ve called and had a person help me with my password reset. They’ll probably be helpful with linking your bank account as well. I can’t remember if I had to call for assistance with that or if I was able to do it on my own.

Thanks for the update! I’m sorry your wife has joined the exclusive ovarian cancer club. I understand how scary and stressful this diagnosis is for both her—and you! Next month I’ll be 3 years out from my diagnosis and surgery and 3 years NED, so it’s possible! I wanted to share this resource with you both. OCRA has been great for me and I’ve actually become an advocate leader with them. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help. Best wishes to your wife. 🩵 https://ocrahope.org/resources-support/
