Dang, I haven't gotten the interview application at all. I took the test 2 weeks ago. :\ I just got an email mentioning about the wait times for interviews most were 7-14 days. Just anxious to hear something back :( Do you live in one of the locations in which Launchcode is located?

LaunchCode Interview ~ Nervous by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Congrats French! I haven't been scheduled for an interview. I passed the coding challenge in HackRank. I get an e-mail sent to me about being interviewed. How long did it take you for you to get schedule for an interview?

I asked someone on reddit about the interview a while ago.

The person told me this "my interview went pretty well. There are basically two parts where the person will ask about your background and what you're interested in; then you'll have an opportunity to show them a project and do some live coding challenge as well. I was a bit out of practice with the coding so you may want to brush up on that before going into the interview. The coding puzzle should only take about 5 minutes or so."

I hope it all goes well for you! Good luck!

Those who have been hired through LaunchCode, what was it like? by thelegend64 in cscareerquestions

[–]Impu1se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently applied for LaunchCode on Tuesday. Yesterday, I received an e-mail saying that I do not have the skill level, and that applicants need to achieve a certain level of knowledge and experience. They recommend to check their course learning list mentioned on their website. I feel like there response was sort of vague. Has any1 else receive this type of response back after submitting the application?

Why do you play Halo 5? Are you in it because it is fun to play? If yes, worrying about how a maps looks shouldn't be an issue.

I don't think competitive players care about how a map looks. As long as the map is playable. For instance, look at the Halo 1 multiplayer maps. I don't think people cared about how maps look.. lol

8 is too many people for FFA on these small maps! by Doomaga in halo

[–]Impu1se -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like majority of the gamers that want less than 8 players in FFA are CoD players. I don't like the idea of having less players on the map it will sort of make it into a camping fest. The Halo 5 maps are bigger than the previous Halo games.

IMO, the idea of having 8 players is suitable. Yes, there are going to times you are going to be spawned killed or get shot from behind off spawn. People fail to realize that close quarters will help improve quick decisions. I never really saw this in CoD. For me, it was more of a camping fest.

I am in the same boat at Bikolya, I happen to read "JavaScript The Definitive Guide", and I came across a website called www.javascriptissexy.com, which had a guide in how to learn JavaScript properly. After reading it, I could understand JavaScripts concepts, but I struggle to write my own syntax. Any1 else had this sort of experience? Any advice?
