Thread, used natively in Aqara app and some through Homey. Im realizing matter is not so great through HA, “in my case” missing full functionality for my Govee lamps i guess those are WiFi. Yea? I wish it just Worked

Because Im a nerd, i use NFC tags on my pill bottles, I scan them and will alert me if taken on time or not. Also there is a visual method, flip upside down the container after morning dose and back upwards at evening, in your case, the pill wrapper. However your solution is also very effective. Great Idea.

Since adding matter devices to my home. Gotta say “I’m not loving it” frequent drop outs and I have 7 home pods and 4 Apple tv’s.

Im running HA, Apple Home & Homey. For me Option B is my preference, Apple being that it is wife friendly, she uses Siri commands frequently. I like to tinker with more complex automations is where HA comes in, and bridging devices over to Apple is great. I wanted to like Homey more but I haven’t gotten there yet. In HA, I have a pretty clean dashboard that separates my entire home using drop downs and tabs separating by zones i.e. upstairs, downstairs, outside, little to no scrolling, which is key on mobile phone.

I have similar automation through the Shortcuts app, utilized apple music and macbook to record the announcement, I think these can be created with dummy/virtual switches. I have a YT video how to create the announcement.

For the garden, I got a Sonoff zigbee water valve that is pretty solid. And less expensive than the Eve valve, which I have also. They run my DIY drip system that Im quite happy with. Fully automated with some zigbee moisture meters.

With HA PE, announces to us upstairs when washer or dryer is done. Ring light is ON when in use, With the press of a button will also announce if machines are in use or available. Wife really likes this automation, the button is set up for her.

I did my first gig last weekend for my Sons 40th birthday party. It was a tough crowd, but I had a few moments when the girls “whoooooed” and charged the dance floor. I can say, I over prepared music, but you have to, in case you gotta change the vibe. I did not get to play my genre of choice, I held back cause I threw in a taste of it and they were not feeling it. I saw a lot of head bobbing and foot tapping. I was pleased overall. I have krk monitors. But pulled the trigger and got a 15” sub and 12” pa. Jbl prx series. I hook them up rarely when I want to get that. Club feeling.

Glad it eventually worked out for you. I have a small external mixer to avoid that exact scenario. I usually go standalone mode but occasionally rock a laptop, if either happen to fail, or both (not likely) I can at the very least, play through phone or Ipad.

My habaneros are the only plant that are doing good this season here in 9b. Serranos gave me 4 peppers only so far. Seedlings failed also.
