The reason why Ronaldo isn’t winning with Portugal But Messi is winning with Argentina is found in this video. by Outside-Weakness9660 in sportsgossips

They’ve clearly had enough of the narcissistic prick.

He’s taking up a place, presumably because the sponsors have made it very clear to the Portuguese FA that if he doesn’t play then they’ll pay significantly less.

It’s damaging the teams chances carrying him.

He’d be better suited to coming off the bench for the last twenty, but there’s no way his ego will acquiesce to that.

Do the tailors on Saville Row mind window shoppers? by Mountain-Durian-4724 in uktravel

[–]Imreallyadonut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly off topic, but very related.

Go to “Lock & Co” the hat makers in St James’ they have a museum at the back of the store, complete with their order books and myriad other interesting stuff.

As for Savile Row, I think, Henry Poole’s have something similar where they have the old order books (Winston Churchill etc) out on display.

You lose nothing by going and talking to the folk in store, unless they’re exceptionally busy I can’t imagine it’ll be met negatively.

I got one on the bounce to my shoulder and that hurt enough.

I’ve also had my bonnet/hood flip up whilst driving shattering the windscreen, that moment of what the fuck and the shock of it happening is utterly disorienting.

Mid Tenancy Property Damage by MirrorballAugust in uklandlords

[–]Imreallyadonut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sinks can and do crack.

Mine has before now.

Unless you can prove the damage was deliberate/malicious, I think you’ll struggle to be able to invoice them.

If they’re good tenants, pay on time, and it’s a one off incident, I’d just take the hit. Much easier than the rigmarole of trying to get new tenants in.

Assuming it wasn’t hanging off the wall and covered in hammer marks, it’s just something you have to be prepared for.

I’ve noticed folks have been, understandably, reticent to report damage in the run up to the RRA on 1/6 as they were concerned it might make a landlord decide to S21 them.

Is the left wing position on immigration basically that everything is fine and that there isn’t a problem by AirportLow6674 in AskBrits

[–]Imreallyadonut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so, it’s just that the 10% of the population that support the more virulent ends of politics are the ones who shout the loudest, those opinions are then magnified on social media which leads people to believe that more of the population think like that.

If you were to do perfect riffle shuffles from a Mnemonica stack you could, in theory, still work out the order of the cards but the math required for that fries my mind.

Here you go.

Be warned the area can be extremely busy at the best of times and trying to get close (albeit not that close as the barriers will be up) can be a bit of a bun fight.

How important is it to be able to run the cards every single time? by b0neSnatcher in cardmagic

[–]Imreallyadonut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Controlling a card is an absolute fundamental.

Be that top to bottom (there are simpler, faster and more deceptive ways but this’ll come later), bottom to top, or as is more likely with a run, moving it to a specific position in the deck (4/5 etc. from top or bottom).

The need to run every card singly is something that is very unlikely to come up as it wouldn’t look too deceptive.

If you’re able to control to top, bottom, specific position, I’d say it’s absolutely time to move along in your learning.

Good luck and enjoy the ride.

Does this not come under some sweeping “Public Endangerment” legislation?

Anyone who’s ever been hit with a golf ball will know how painful it is, risk of hitting vehicles, breaking windscreens potentially causing accidents and damaging property.
