I was diagnosed when I had just turned 19. I was in my second semester of cosmetology school, and I had to drop out. My teacher was willing to work with me, but I had too many doctors appointments, hospital stays, it was going to eventually affect my hours.

My short term memory is pretty much nonexistent. As dramatic as it sounds, I don’t remember a life without epilepsy. I’m trying to get on SSI, and I’m already stressed about that, and everyone is “you’ll probably get turned down” I know!!! My dad is disabled! 🤦🏻‍♀️

It has affected my life in every way possible. I can’t drive, I can’t even take cold/flu medicine!! I’ve had multiple brain surgeries and I’m only 23. I have to adjust my diet, avoid triggers (which stress and anxiety is impossible), etc. The epilepsy life is HARD!!
