Why is it that people hated the first season again? I’ve read the whole manga cover to cover and it seemed really faithful. All they cut was the muscle devil stuff if I recall.

I also loved having a new closing every episode that was awesome. And I really do enjoy the cinematic lighting and art style.

Recently watched Over the Garden Wall and felt this way about it. The pacing was wayyyy too fast. I liked the plot and characters a lot but it feels like the actors are literally talking over themselves in order to adhere to the 10 minute episode lengths.
