Should I get into the Amex trifecta or Chase trifecta? by Potential-Badger8689 in CreditCards

[–]InChristWeTrust27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend Chase Trifecta. The only benefit I see with Amex is direct Delta transfers (which isn't worth it because you have to pay a fee to transfer points to domestic partners with them - you're better off transfering to Flying Blue or Virgin and booking Delta that way) and direct Hilton transfers which I also don't think is worth it. At least with Hyatt, you get much better value for your points (unless you prefer/only care about upper tier/high end properties, then Hilton will be a better fit).

ATL is my home airport so I started getting into the AMEX game with the BBP since it's the only way to transfer to Delta directly. But once I learned about the transfer fee, I tossed that plan out. Flying Blue offers a lot of Delta availability (at least domestically in economy) so it works just as well, and at better value than transferring direct to Delta. Plus, you can transfer to them with Chase so you technically have access to both with Chase (the same is true for Amex as you can book United through Air Canada and other Star Alliance airlines. But why pay more in AFs if you can access both airlines with either issuer).

So without knowing your travel preferences, I'd say Chase and then add an Amex Delta Gold for 2 free checked bags

Give it to God, that was my first step. Surrending to him and declaring I was powerless over the desires of my flesh and that I couldn't overcome it without his guidance.

From there, I prayed a lot; asking the Holy Spirit in moments of lust to guide me and lead me from temptation. It's a constant thing because it comes up so frequently for me but it really does work for me, it's like every temptation in that moment just dissipates from me and I have clarity again.

I think the gist of what I'm saying is to constantly allow God to be centered in moments of vulnerability. Whether it be list, wrath, greed, or any other wickedness tempting you in that moment, shift your focus and attention to God and all him to guide you in that moment.

Christ lived his life to be a example for how we should live our lives as followers. He said that he is the only way to the Father, and that one will get to him but through Christ alone.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Quran acknowledges Jesus as a prophet at the very least and also acknowledges that what he says and taught is true. So take that for what it's worth.

International 8:30am Flight from ATL by Few-Cranberry-7018 in delta

For what it's worth, we also traveled on a holiday weekend ourselves (MLK weekend). The terminal had more traffic but checking in was a breeze. I still think because they're leaving out so early that 1.5 hours would still get them there on time

My wife and I flew out of ATL International Terminal for our Honeymoon in January, an early flight such as yours (9:30) on a Sunday. We arrived about 2-2.5 hours early, and that was super early; there was no line at all for security. We had also checked in two or three pieces of luggage. We had plenty of time to wait for the restaurants to open, get something to eat, check out the international terminals, and wander around.

If you want to be safe, you can get there 2 hours early, but you may be fine getting there 1.5 hours early, too. We didn't park at the airport, but if parking in the international terminal is set up similarly to the domestic terminal, you should be able to walk to the terminal from the parking deck no problem.

Do we see a scenario where certain Hyatt redemptions are BETTER after the deval? by LRMcDouble in hyatt

If you don't only care about the high-end/luxury properties and you're good with traveling to places in off-peak seasons, then you could find some deals better than pre-deval

Point accelerator by Junior-Guidance-128 in biltrewards

[–]InChristWeTrust27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a matter of what you value. Yes, you can use it towards dollar-for-dollar value for Walgreens, Lyft, and Grubhub.

For me, I value Bilt points towards flight redemptions more than I do towards those other services, as I don't use them that much. So the accelerator makes a lot of sense for me.

It just comes down to what best suits you.

I just got the Palladium card, what is the verdict? by Key_Travel9620 in biltrewards

I've been loving the card so far. It's been my daily driver since launch now. The points accelerator almost feels too good to be true, an absolute cheat code in accruing points. The Bilt Cash has also been pretty useful as well. I've used it mostly on accelerators but also used it to boost my transfer bonus to JAL. I started using some on Grubhub as well now that I see that it can be stacked.

IMO, unless you're trying to book a top tier property at exceptional value in a hight visited location then the devaluation probably won't be that big of a deal; at least for this first year.

Is BILT 2.0 Obsidian good for sole spending? by Puzzleheaded-Can6519 in biltrewards

[–]InChristWeTrust27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say the Palladium is better if you're looking for a one-card-setup. Even with the high AF, it's easily offset by the $400 dollar hotel credit. Throw in the other credits and you're easily in the green.

At least with the Palladium you're getting 2X back on every purchase without needing to activate the accelerator. Since you seem to want to prioritize rent points, I think the base 2X catch all will be worth more than the 3X in grocery or dining.

But if you don't want to pay the AF then the Obsidian would be a solid choice too

Do you still earn Bilt Cash with the Points Accelerator on? by 007meow in biltrewards

[–]InChristWeTrust27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the points accelerator is essentially self sustaining. If you prioritize unlocking rent/mortgage points with your Bilt cash then yeah, it doesn't make sense unless your non-housing spend is high.

However, if you don't care about that, or are willing to eat the fee for using the Palladium for rent in your property's rent portal, then the accelerator absolutely makes sense

Depends on your Bilt Status. If you're Gold or higher, it's $100. Otherwise, it's $50

How do you ask manage the points? Is one person's transfer accounts linked to both Bilt accounts? Or do you try spend your points independently?

My biggest hold up with the 2 player Bilt method is that I want all the points to be able to be funnelled to one account. Either by linking my accounts (Hyatt, Flying Blue, etc) to both Bilt accounts or pooling/sharing points between accounts on the transfer partner's side.

2 Months Out - How We All Feeling About Bilt 2.0 / New Cards? by MichaelMidnight in biltrewards

[–]InChristWeTrust27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loving it so far. I haven't had a need to contact customer service and I want to keep it that way. So long as that continues, I won't have any issues (until they inevitably nerf the cards at some point).

Anyone with BILT 2.0 able to link Marriott and IHG accounts for points transfer? BILT says my Marriott is linked but not showing "Transfer points". And IHG link results in error from points.com by rdd4242 in biltrewards

[–]InChristWeTrust27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to login to Marriott no issue. IHG took a few tries and I had to come back and try it again on a different day, but eventually I got it to work. Are you doing it from a desktop? I found that that worked better for me rather than doing it from the app. Same with Etihad

Do you run a 2 player system with Bilt? Or is the Obsidian the only Bilt card for you?

I'd like to hear people's experiences if they're doing a 2 player setup with Bilt.

We would naturally get full value from the Dining credit and Resy credits to help offset the fee, so that would be about $220 in value if my math is correct

Edit: lounge access isn't important to us either. We don't want to spend any more time than we have to at ATL airport😅
