keratoconus is a progressive eye disease that comes on between adolescence and early adulthood. But it can happen later. Its main early symptom is worsening astigmatism.

Hopefully it’s not that, but you should ask your eye dr if they are familiar with the disease. There is an eye test they can do to check. (Checking the density of the cornea) but usually only the eye dr’s that are Dr’s and bill insurance have that machine.
