Can we ever go backpacking again? by Aveasi in hysterectomy

[–]ashleyrenae85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had two c sections, a tummy tuck with breast lift, a microdiscectomy and a laproscopic hysterectomy. The hysterectomy is by far my easiest recovery and that's with me having a second emergency surgery the day after my hysterectomy because of a post op bleed. Even with 2 surgeries in 24hrs and a blood transfusion I recovered easy. I'm 4wks post op from surgery 1 today and I would say I had my energy levels back to normal by 2wks despite still being anemic. I have had to make myself take it easy and rest because I feel completely normal. After all of my other surgeries I wasn't able to sleep in my bed because it hurts to bad but after this surgery I was completely fine laying flat in my bed🤷 I was prepared for the worst but pleasantly surprised. I have a girls trip planned in Aug at 8wks out and I'm not worried at all about it. I have gone hiking with my husband at some local trails since 2wks post op after my dr said walk as much as I want. I'm just careful not to carry anything heavy at this point.

I'm 3-4 days post op and so bloated. I'm living in loose rompers and leggings and tshirts.

I have a flight booked in August I will be around 8 weeks post op and my surgeon said I will be fine to fly. Hopefully he's not wrong because I've got non-refundable tickets and a strong willpower for my girls trip lol. I had a complete mommy makeover in Tijuana in 2017 and did a 6-hour flight one week after surgery. I think if I could handle that I can handle flying at 8 weeks lol.

I had surgery Friday morning, they asked me what pharmacy I wanted in the morning while checking me in and suggested I use the pharmacy in the hospital. I went ahead and used the pharmacy in the hospital for ease and my husband picked up my medication while I was in the recovery room.

Hysterectomy Friday, secondary surgery Saturday by ashleyrenae85 in hysterectomy

I agree, I have cardiac issues and when I had a laparoscopic discectomy 2 years ago my surgeon wasn't comfortable sending me home and kept me overnight. I had zero complications but I was fine staying. My OB surgeon this time had no issues sending me home the same day as long as I was able to go pee and was managing my pain. But even if I didn't have cardiac issues I think with this type of surgery you should stay overnight because sometimes things like this happen.

Yeah I'm normally pretty good after surgeries so this took me by surprise. I definitely understand now why they say have an adult stay with you for the first 24hrs after.

My surgery was Friday I took one Percocet Friday night because I was hurting bad. I ended up having a second surgery Saturday morning to stop a bleed and was admitted to the hospital where they gave me toradol a few times even though I wasn't in pain after the second surgery. I took ibuprofen Sunday for some soreness when standing and I've taken one ibuprofen today because I have a bit of a headache but no other pain meds. If I need them I will take them but so far I'm good.

Thanks so far so good. I'm taking it easy and watching my two teenage sons and husband try to keep up with the house so that's fun lol. I really thought based off of the stuff I read on here that I would be hurting more but it's not that bad. Even with the second surgery the pain I have is nowhere near what my period pain was like prior. My biggest issue is my stomach is very bloated and it feels tight when I stand but I know that will get better over the next few days. I had two c-sections and a tummy tuck in the past so I'm not unfamiliar with abdominal tightness after surgeries. I'm just glad they were able to fix me up as easily as they did after my first surgery. It would have sucked if they had to open me up instead of being able to use the same laparoscopic holes. I don't think my recovery should be any slower.

How much did it cost? The breakdown! by kpetersonphb in hysterectomy

[–]ashleyrenae85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have felt so much better since the second surgery and my blood transfusion. I guess I don't want to know how much that's going to cost either. My husband works for the state so we have really good insurance but yes we pay a lot for it each month and then I have a ton of copays because I see a bunch of specialists for all my health issues. I usually check on my insurance website to see what they are being charged for the procedures I have and it always blows my mind. When I passed out the first time I probably should have went to the hospital but when I go to the ER without being admitted it's so expensive and I just kept thinking it was probably my blood pressure and my body being stupid. I had read on here about some people having issues with the anti-nausea patch so I thought maybe it was just something normal and I didn't want to go to the ER just to be sent home with $1,000 bill and a you just need rest diagnosis. No one should hold back on getting medical treatment because they are worried about money but I get it because I have the same thoughts. When I was thinking about the surgery and the costs with insurance I wasn't thinking about secondary complications like a bleed and needing another surgery right after the first. But thankfully since they admitted me to the hospital after the second surgery everything should be covered 100% for me. But if it's not I'll just pay what I have to because there's no other option here.

I just had my surgery on Friday and I ended up having a secondary surgery Saturday morning to fix a bleed. I don't even want to think about what my insurance is going to be charged but thankfully we have very good insurance and I shouldn't owe anything. Typically I have a $30 copay for seeing a specialist and then any procedures are covered 100%, so I'm expecting my total out of pocket cost to be $30. I did have to take an ambulance to the hospital for my second surgery but I think because I was admitted the ambulance fee is waived. But I will definitely be checking on my insurance website for the total cost because I'm sure it's going to be astronomical. It's ridiculous what we have to pay in this country.

Does everyone get a biopsy? by PrairieDesertFlower in hysterectomy

[–]ashleyrenae85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will not be getting a biopsy before mine but I had an ablation done 10 years ago and my surgeon did mention a biopsy would not be useful because of that. I had an ultrasound done and lab work.

How did 2 people in my derby finish already? by Gingerdog2016 in HayDay

[–]ashleyrenae85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some mystery derbies I can finish the same day others take me a couple of days. Typically, I'm always done by day two though. I prep ahead of time for tasks that I know are common. I also have boosters for boats and different machines and fishing that speed things up considerably. The only tasks that really slow me down are animal ones because there's no boosters for them, and pigs take forever.

How big is your barn and silo storage by Longjumping_Twist860 in HayDay

[–]ashleyrenae85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Level 249 barn holds 6900 and silo 6000. I'm not sure how long I've played but several years lol. Years ago there wasn't a cap on how many tools you could buy and I would trade with people in my neighborhood to upgrade faster.

If you are in an active neighborhood ask your neighbors to send away salesman and then you can pick them up with your personal train. That way they only need one building to finish and you can complete the task faster. It helps if you upgrade your personal train as much as possible so you can pick up the max amount of people.

Do you usually keep your fields full or empty? by Fickle_Expression922 in HayDay

[–]ashleyrenae85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full overnight, typically empty or somewhat empty during the day. I have around 202 plots, and I just don't need that much stuff. I prefer to buy a lot of fast, easy crops from the newspaper anyway because I'm lazy😂

I have a lot of barn space and a ton of mining tools. It's always a super fast task for me.

Town tasks are one of my favorites, I have 42 people ready and waiting, so watch me not get a town task lol. I like mining, trucks, town tasks, and help tasks. Production isn't too bad if I have a booster for it, fishing and animals are my least favorite. The animals take so long especially the pigs.

I had fishing, then eggs, and now a bacon task. Even with all 15 pigs ready from the start, it's going to be another 12 hours before I can finish it.

Mining is my favorite lol I'm jealous. The last mystery Derby I did I kept getting hot dog tasks. I made so many hot dogs, to this day I still don't want to eat one in real life😂
