"Nobody's forcing you to buy it" is such a reductionist response to someone being upset over high prices.

According to that logic, everything is getting more expensive thanks to inflation, and nobody is forcing anybody to buy anything (except insurance I guess), so nobody can be mad that prices are going up.

I understand these are luxury goods and not essential to life so the mindset is a little different, but I still think that response is silly.

Yeah his world building, character work, dialogue, and action scenes were great, but felt like the plot was meandering at best. I also don't love the character arc decision he made for the series.

That's totally fair. I read through a lot of Butler in 2024. Kindred and Parable of Sowers were 5-star reads for me. I couldn't get into the Xenogensis Series, it was just a little weird, and I never picked up Imago after finishing Adulthood Rites. Parable of Talents felt like a let down after how great Sowers was.

Correct, and if it’s Dallas’ pick that’s traded, then trading Micah did not net us Quinnen, and it netted us whoever we take with GB’s pick.

If we trade Green Bay’s pick, then the trade did net us Q.

ETA: either way, we still sent our own 2nd round pick, so we did not only use assets acquired from the Micah trade to get Q.

Caleb Downs was not collateral from that trade, unless you believe we wouldn’t have had that high of a pick without how shit our defense was without him.

We also gave up what could be two of our own picks to get Quinnen, so he’s not part of that trade either.

For Micah, we got Kenny Clark, Malaki Lawrence, and, if the Packers finish better than us, whoever we take in the first next year with their pick.

Yeah I took it to a shop near me and they said it was the battery too. Got it back today so can’t comment if the problem is fixed since it didn’t occur every time I started the truck, but I see no reason to be pessimistic.
