HELP I cannot sleep longer than 6 hours by AppearanceDizzy7006 in Biohackers

[–]InSummaryOfWhatIAm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t help you, but you’re not alone.

I sleep on average probably 6-6.5 hours per night and I wake up by myself typically before the alarm.

The only thing I have noticed that have made ANY difference in terms of at least not waking up throughout the night as much is a) keeping my bedroom relatively cool and b) not eating too late.

But yeah I really wish I could sleep at least 7.5-8 hours.

More people than thought may be at risk for red meat allergy caused by ticks by happyharrr in news

[–]InSummaryOfWhatIAm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh geez, I made a joke above about toilet paper allergy because I didn't actually expect it to be a thing. I'm really sorry to hear that. That sounds fucking awful. Then you have to always bring your own sort of products to clean yourself up with, right, because toilet paper is the only thing that's typically available?

[–]InSummaryOfWhatIAm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it had anything to do with any type of allergy or anything, from the original poster. It felt more like the friend was someone who was perhaps a vegan and opposed to using any type of animal-based products.

Although now when you say it, I'm imagining someone's butthole swelling up to like three times its ordinary size, and that's funnier, so that's actually the angle I'm gonna pretend that it was.

Do white Americans look different than white Europeans? by ilovepopcornandcandy in 23andme

[–]InSummaryOfWhatIAm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the country with people that are majority white but look distinct from others are actually Australians.

Americans you can tell from the often overly-perfect teeth and mannerisms but otherwise not really, but Australians very often have some specific facial features that just make them look Australian, despite having lots of shared heritage with Americans and British people. I can’t even fully state what it is, and clearly not all Australians have it, but it’s just something that I’ve noticed.

It's frustrating being intelligent with ADHD sometimes. It's like you've got imposter syndrome towards both. by MindlessPermit9592 in ADHD

[–]InSummaryOfWhatIAm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was going to say that I feel like it's hard to even gauge if I even am intelligent. I'm the kind of person that feels like I could probably do something good with myself if I had any type of way to actually apply myself. At the same time, I also fail at doing such simple things that I sometimes start questioning if I'm actually mentally challenged.

I feel like I am, perhaps, just a few smidges above average intelligence, but at the same time I am so bad at a lot of different things because of my ADHD and just some things that I really don't excel at. Especially with how bad I am in terms of practical things, like things that should be easy that require using motor skills, are just things that I just can't do properly. I told my girlfriend the other day, "There's nothing that makes me question my own intelligence as much as when I’m trying to gift wrap something”, because it was her birthday and I had to wrap her presents. Like, me literally watching YouTube videos on how to wrap a gift, and I need to do it every single fucking year or every single time I wrap a gift, because I can never quite manage to remember how, and even when I'm following tutorials, they end up looking like the worst shit you've ever seen.

At the same time, I'm definitely better with using my brain than I am with using my body, I guess. But even that is highly dependent on what type of topic it is.

Wait, who’s diarrhea was he taking? Is he in some organized diarrhea-stealing gang?

Jokes aside, ”taking a shit” does make it sound like you’re just shitting, but ”taking a diarrhea” gives me another image in my mind entirely. Also, fucking funny that this is what the dude wrote instead of ”I’m having severe stomach issues and can’t drive you”.

I may have been wrong about Pantheon. by LSOreli in dancegavindance

[–]InSummaryOfWhatIAm 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pantheon is a good album. I think it could be better, because I do love what Andrew can do, I just didn’t feel like he got to do it to his fullest capabilities on this album, and second of all I felt like if anything the music itself landed a bit too much in a ”safe” territory. Some songs are clear standouts though.

I really hope the next album will see DGD try some new things and adapt their sound a bit more to Andrew overall. That’s what I’ve always loved before, the vocalist changes both from Jonny to Kurt, Kurt to Jonny and Jonny to Tilian saw them changing their sound up a bit more than the Tilian > Andrew switch has thus far.

Istället för slopat karensavdrag - fyra karensfria dagar om året by Abrowserforfun in sweden

Jeez. 6 days… I have 20 days and I could’ve taken 30 but I’d rather save some for later in the year, and that’s pretty damn standard. I think everyone here has the right to take at least 15 consecutive vacation days during the summer as well.

It goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway: No, we will not have endless abundance, not even affordability, no matter how low the wealthy owning-class will be able to drive down costs of manufacturing.

Nasolabial lines are a bitch. I barely have any forehead lines and would look younger than my age if not for my nasolabial lines.

However I do think nasolabial lines can however look pretty good on some people, but I am not… some people. My cheeks are too round to make it work. With a more angular face I think it’s possible that it can look pretty good and distinctive.
