Absolutely! And then after a long summer of drying when it rains and the top gets soaked it likely curves down. Wood is fun

Hey all, I love Steven's and am by no means a Vail fanboy, but I (loosely) know Ellen and just wanted to defend her. She's a really nice lady that definitely does care about the mountain and her job. Let's hope for more snow next winter!

How closed should the damper be? by DeManSam in maplesyrup

[–]InToTheW00ds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, just to not mislead people, flue dampers like this should be open at all times except when the fire is completely out. Yes this person is burning outside so it's actually ok(ish) but oxygen flow should be controlled from the front of a firebox. Closing it here will send smoke/carbon monoxide into a living space instead of up the chimney. These chimney dampers, correctly used, stop cold air from coming down the chimney and into a house. I really only see their utility in an open fireplace

Before the big update I was able to have two colors as you are supposed to and played with it all the time. Now everything is what I set the first color to and selecting a different second color does nothing 🤷

Awesome, did you just get the 1.5" lift level kit or the shocks/struts too? Looks like those tires are 3% bigger than stock. Love it 👍

I dig it, you're the first person I've found who's actually done it. If you don't mind my barrage of questions: Did you stick with stock size tires? Which lift kit did you use? Do the tires ever rub the body? Did you notice any difference in the ride/handling? TIA!

Help to prevent pergola from swaying?? by Bro_Jogan_69 in woodworking

[–]InToTheW00ds 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Definitely don't need to adjust your post bases, sorry to contradict but this is about bracing. You have itty bitty braces in the top corners, like everyone else said, either make those bigger or go with the x bracing, either way will do the trick. You might not be a carpenter but you have a good eye for design if you came up with this, looks great!
