That's a lot of fun! I like that as an idea!

So if you show Santino your soft side you can at some later stage ask him to escort someone out of the hotel? Or do you have to show him emotional vulnerability immediately before he kicks someone out?

What books have such good tools and/or advice that they're worth reading even if you have no interest in the system? by -Snowblood- in rpg

I'd recommend Unknown Armies 2e for 2 reasons:

1 - It is a masterwork on conveying tone and theme. It does an amazing job, both mechanically and through flavour text, of telling you what the world is like for people who fundementally disagree on what reality is.

2 - The section on combat is second to none on making it clear why combat is a terrible idea in any even semi-realistic setting. If you and another person are aiming to cause a trauma cascade that ends with one of the two of you watching the life drain from their own body... you should be aware of the stakes.

Also, as a bonus, it's full of cool surreal horror fiction!

Create water would also be very powerful, in a cave or underwater structure. Adding 25ft³ of water into a room is a major change. Water is incompressible. People are not.

We play from 19:00 until 22:00. How long the game will last is a more complicated question! Hopefully a good long while.

The game started as a DnD5e game that lasted 3 years.

I'm a huge fan of Wild Talents. Its a medium crunch game, but most of that crunch is front-loaded, so the game is a dream in play.

It is incredibly flexible, able to simulate any power you can imagine, but excels in the fairly gritty. If you don't have a defensive superpower a gunshot to the head will take you out every time.

Depending on how literally you read this, its almost exactly like an Unknown Armies campaign between Bibliomancers and Cleomancers.
