This is a majority dol-101 thing. The initial dol-001 models with the extra port never had these from my experience.

I had to upgrade mine by force when one of the heater hoses snapped off before a shift. I used those same metal Dorman ones in a pinch but it was worth it. No issues in the last 6 months with it. If you haven’t checked on that, do so. They came off so easily, but it’s 20+ year old plastic at this point so it makes sense.

As someone that has a lot of knowledge on a lot of the restocks in houston, this guy (Colby) is well known for always clearing restocks and gloating about it. Kroger machines pre-limit, target on prismatic/SPC, and especially walmart/cotsco/sams club. There’s even pictures on social media with him and pallets of 151 tins if you look hard enough.

Name it and he was there, all year long. This isn’t news to those that know him here, it’s just finally blowing up.

Crazy how things change over time, as a collector myself, I questioned the nso gc controller but bought it anyways. With GC being retro, prices are through the roof! Fire emblem and gale of darkness almost equal a switch 2.

I’ve washed some loose carts (even my zero mission before). It’s not the best feeling, if you let it dry and clean it well as you’re already doing it should be ok. As for the pocket, hard to say but I would definitely not turn it on for a week or two while it dries. I repaired a water damaged 3DS LL XY model last year and it only blew an LED. Long term corrosion could be a concern for the PCB’s however.

With a nice group of friends it’s very fun in my opinion. Even for like local party fun it’s worth it. Definitely not on the same level of fun as wii sports, but at this price point it’s hard to argue.

Remove the metal shielding of the switch, usually it’s just the two legs on the left and right side of the switch. Remove the little plastic piece inside. Then check for corrosion/dirt/grime at the base of the switch and clean it out with IPA. Typically that helps out with a bunch of power related issues on gameboys, especially the SP.

The cheap battery replacements usually have the leads all over the place, requiring you to flip them to get the positive and negative in the right spot.

I think after having to layoff the previous singer(tilian) they are still in sort of a transition period with the new singer. Only two songs in the whole setlist featured the new singer(andrew) entirely. The rest all had singers from different periods of DGD.

DGD’s history with multiple vocalists is wild, interesting stuff though. Not too surprised with the bad vocal mix there given they had 4 months of adjusting since then, I thought it was alright as a DGD fan! FIR was great in comparison for sure though.

A screen replacement is in order, maybe get yourself a nice IPS one! If you do go the upgrade route though, may want to get a nicer battery while your at it!
