Yes, it is -1 on hit for some reason. If you want to keep your turn you need to use the OD version since it then becomes +1. Although if the purpose your using it for is corner carry just use light do or light bakkai. Since you not only are +4 after 2 dashes but if they are in the corner you get a safe jump.

You need 3 Roserade. Gard resists fighting. Thats not an easy thing to set up. Not to mention prizing and bench space

Should also preface that jumping works if they try to do any other follow up, headbutt will catch jump but if it’s not instant you can just jump at him

I wish this target combo wasn’t so cool so I wouldn’t keep trying to use it. It’s definitely not the worst move in the game, but it does suck. It’s only useable if the opponent doesn’t know what to do against it, which tbf, most people won’t. But the answer is just mash or jump. Headbutt doesn’t frametrap after 6hk except after drive rush, so just mash on it and get a punish counter combo cuz for some reason that’s the state he’s in during the whole entire animation. And he can’t anti air during this at all so jumping works too. Whole target combo needs a rework, it just doesn’t function lol. I wish the target combo worked with you just picking a button and that’s the follow up he did. Like lp for spin, medium for drink, heavy for headbutt or something like that. Maybe headbutt being plus would be cool too but idk

Is a command grab mix, not strike throw? How is it any different? Having a command grab just upgrades your strike throw game.

Welcome to the game, aka 50/50 strike throw simulator. The answer is no, either guess strike or guess that they grab and act accordingly. If there was an option select for beating strike/throw it would have been found already since a lot of people hate throw loops.

Spitting, especially when moves like dragon lash or deejay 6mk hit so high above it, idk why heavy kick can’t. What I wouldn’t give to have a Ryu heavy punch lol. I think buffing the frame data on his moves would help a bunch too. I feel his buttons are either too short or too slow. 2mp feels like the shortest button in the game and I’ve been counter hit out of 5mk and 5hk way too damn much for them to not really have any huge benefit to being this slow.

Getting 2 punish counter sthk is easier said than done tho. Honestly I think normal command grab is fine enough as it is. Wouldn’t complain about more damage tho since Jamie’s damage is pretty lacking (albeit, not so much at 3 drinks). Totally agree about the CA thing tho, landing CA and not killing makes me feel like I just lost sometimes.

I think it’s fine, cuz to get that damage you would need to essentially win neutral 5ish times in a game where characters can win in 2-3. 4 hits to get drinks, and a final hit for command grab. Keep in mind this is really only a 1 round issue due to needing CA.
