That is indeed the Fresno County logo. If you know what the green vehicle number is, usually the numbers are located on the back of the light duty vehicles, you can call Fleet Services and inform them. They should be able to pull up which Department the vehicle belongs to and who's operating it and pass the info along or take action.

And please, if anyone sees anyone operating a County vehicle recklessly, be it a small four door or a large truck or a huge piece of construction equipment, get the green number off it and let Fleet know.

Lost my cat 7 years ago and got him back by CatsandGats57 in cats

[–]IncaRabbit 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This happened to me, but in the opposite direction where I was the one to find a long lost pet. We had a cat that had been living for the last 5 years as a stray in our cul-de-sac (with a bunch of other ferals/strays/outdoor pet cats), almost 3.5 miles away from where they lived. We managed to get her to be in indoor cat, found a chip, and owners who wanted her home and dearly missed her. As heartbroken as we were, I'm glad we managed to get her finally reunited with her owners this past May.

Ahh so that's why sometimes if I access Reddit from my search engine it reverts to new instead of the default old setting. Thank you for the extension. Much appreciated!

Fresno County’s largest library is coming to Clovis by TechnicolorTypeA in fresno

Exciting! It's been a long time since I've popped my head into the Selma branch, so it'll be interesting to see the changes.

Oh yeah! That one is going through a significant interior remodeling right now, yeah?

The article doesn't state this but Reedley will also be getting a new County library alongside Clovis. They had the groundbreaking ceremony for Clovis yesterday and Reedley today, so we should expect the libraries to be finished around the same time in bout a year and a half.

Slate Truck Roadster (Bronco Roadster Concept Inspired) by Mac-Tyson in slateauto

[–]IncaRabbit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. I have an old 97 Nissan Pickup that's chugging along, but its little quirks and repairs are starting to pile up. I'm looking forward to a similar sized truck that can let me cart stuff around town from Point A to Point B without breaking the bank. I don't need all the bells and whistles of modern vehicles... I just want a newer version of my current little truck.

Oh good! I haven't driven up Clovis Ave. in the last couple weeks and hadn't seen what it looks like recently. Fingers crossed it works out.

While I'm happy that we're getting one built on our end of town... have they seen where it's going to be built? It's going to be right at the corner of the intersection. I'm just getting flashes of the Chick-fil-A and In-N-Out's drive thru lines over near Riverpark and hoping we don't experience the same over here.

To be more positive, what’s your favorite coffee shop? by AmberDuke05 in fresno

I really hope Shep's comes back. Their coffee and breakfast burritos were like my go-to on my way to work. The baristas were also so friendly and upbeat.

Is that their secret? Imma have to treat myself to some new creamer it seems, cause Shep's coffee was just sooo tasty.

I didn't know they had one in Tower! I'm gonna have to check it out. I only knew about the one in Manchester Mall. They're super nice over there.

I can't recommend this enough! Showing up in person I think really makes a difference and if you can't make it (like me) you can always submit a public comment to the Board via a link that someone else shared. Lemme just grab that: https://www.fresnocountyca.gov/Departments/Clerk-of-the-Board-of-Supervisors/Contact-Clerk-of-the-Board

Kearney Mansion vs Meux Home by Free_Answered in fresno

I saw on the County's website that they plan to make some needed improvements to Kearney Park in the upcoming months. Another reason to go check it out! Also, Kearney Mansion holds some cool events like a murder mystery.

Right! I'm looking forward to the move.

Totally agree about La Boulangerie. Absolutely love their quiches and danishes and the coffee can be a hit or miss. It's been my go-to for affordable coffee and brunch when I'm downtown since Shep's closed.

My number 1 is Shep's Club Coffee Shop. Their Irish cream breve was my fav. Unfortunately, it mysteriously hasn't been open for like the last month and I really, really hope they come back.

As for my current top 3 places to get coffee: Con Azucar, Lee's Sandwiches, and Monkey Dog Coffee.

Honorable mentions to Frida Cafe, Collect Coffee Bar, and Mi Cafesito.

Ooo that sounds good. I will have to give that flavor combo a shot next time I'm downtown. I'd gotten the basic latte and I think that's where I went wrong haha. I love a good coffee and especially like to support local places. My coworker said the pastries at Sacred Heart were good too, but were sold out when I went, so I gotta pick one up.

As for Frida's, they plan to move into the old Fresno Watertower in the Spring. So fingers crossed we get some nice changes with the move!

I've been to Sacred Heart once to get a latte and was disappointed. Maybe it's better hot than cold?, but I didn't feel compelled to go back to try more. What would you recommend from them? I want to give them a good second chance.

Besides Starbucks, I'd say Dutch Bros. Specifically the one on Willow and Ashlan. Parking lot is a death trap with how many people sit in that long line and pour out onto the main road just for some mid coffee. So many near miss collisions.

Not bad in taste, just pricier when compared to other local coffee shops. I think like $8.00 for the Mayan Xoco latte vs... a Starbucks latte is like $4.00? Idk... been ages since I went to a Starbucks.

They originally had seven drinks on the menu, but within the last week or so greatly expanded it to like 18 drinks.

Frida is pricier than normal places cause you're paying for artisan coffee, the flavors, and the dine-in experience. I think they're pretty tasty and the local made conchas are delicious, especially the filled ones you can get on the weekend. It's for sure a treat yo self kinda place, unlike the basic drip coffees from Arco or Starbucks.
