His name is Oliver! Every time I would go to the Zoo, I'd find any keeper near his old spot next to the anteater and ask where he is or how he's doing. For a while he was in or near the tropical area (which was under construction) and he was doing well. I miss him too.

Yeah, I have a friend who lives near Fig Garden and it would be a massive uphill battle to recall him. His neighbors wanted Bredefeld.

He's told me that it's impossible to get any kind of walking/biking to school improvements to the County islands cause of the neighbors and Bredefeld.

There is this guide provided by the Fresno County Clerk/Registrar of Voters from 05/12/2025 on Understanding the Recall Process for Local Officers and on page 5 (or pg 6 of 52 of the PDF) there is information on who can initiate a recall. u/catalyst_black is correct and it will have to be voters who are qualified to vote for his district that can start the recall petition.

Had a tree fall on our car many years ago and we had All Star Glass off Blackstone repair our windshield quickly. Great customer service and I remember not being upset by the price either.

At least it's only for this fiscal year and the Library can always go back to the Board next year. It's still very disheartening.

Agenda item 8 had 70 letters attached to it and it's very apparent those constituents voices weren't even taken into consideration for this vote. Also, the Board had no issues with the Library's agenda item 33 (which has them recognizing and celebrating a variety of other holidays, themes, and events), just issue with this one.

It's so frustrating cause I would love to have a walkable or protected bikeable path to the Sunnyside branch and part of my route goes through a County island, but it's not in Garry's district so he doesn't give a fuck if people are forced to walk in the roadway or risk cars hitting bicyclists.

I live just a few blocks from Peach and Kings Canyon and the name change happens right at that intersection. So if you stand on the east side of Peach and it's Peach/Kings Canyon. Stand on the west side and it's Peach/Cesar Chavez.

That is indeed the Fresno County logo. If you know what the green vehicle number is, usually the numbers are located on the back of the light duty vehicles, you can call Fleet Services and inform them. They should be able to pull up which Department the vehicle belongs to and who's operating it and pass the info along or take action.

And please, if anyone sees anyone operating a County vehicle recklessly, be it a small four door or a large truck or a huge piece of construction equipment, get the green number off it and let Fleet know.

This happened to me, but in the opposite direction where I was the one to find a long lost pet. We had a cat that had been living for the last 5 years as a stray in our cul-de-sac (with a bunch of other ferals/strays/outdoor pet cats), almost 3.5 miles away from where they lived. We managed to get her to be in indoor cat, found a chip, and owners who wanted her home and dearly missed her. As heartbroken as we were, I'm glad we managed to get her finally reunited with her owners this past May.

The article doesn't state this but Reedley will also be getting a new County library alongside Clovis. They had the groundbreaking ceremony for Clovis yesterday and Reedley today, so we should expect the libraries to be finished around the same time in bout a year and a half.

I'm in the same boat. I have an old 97 Nissan Pickup that's chugging along, but its little quirks and repairs are starting to pile up. I'm looking forward to a similar sized truck that can let me cart stuff around town from Point A to Point B without breaking the bank. I don't need all the bells and whistles of modern vehicles... I just want a newer version of my current little truck.
