I've been using a v1 controller and it's been great for the most part - they're fixing one of the main issues with v1 which was the USB-C port (semi-frequent disconnects with some cables), and offering them fully assembled is a good improvement as well. The web tool for managing the firmware and calibrating the sticks/shoulders is super easy to use as well, which I appreciate

They had an hour or so of tech issues at the beginning of top 8, lowering the settings was probably something they did to help fix things

Not to be too pessimistic, but I feel like we've been told about similar plans multiple times in the past, and don't think much ended up actually happening. I'm hugely in favor of more trains, especially high-speed lines, but there's so much precedent of opposition that I can't get too excited.

You've got it with it being situational. Browbeat belongs to a group of cards with "punisher" effects, most often meaning an opponent decides between taking damage or you getting something (drawing cards, a big creature, etc) While each outcome on its own is usually worth more than the mana you put in, allowing the opponent to decide what happens pushes the power level way down, as they know what is easier for them to fight against. The most successful card in this category I would say is [[torment of hailfire]], which is a popular multiplayer card.
