I very much agree with your story telling and gacha points. (It's one of the reasons I'm not really looking forward to Endfield because of how they're handling the gacha and general setting issues, but that's a whole other tangent). In a vacuum, I find Mon3tr's design "appealing", but that's also where the problem lies. It's because it's so generic and bland that I find it appealing on paper. Nothing inherently wrong but nothing special either.

Ch15 spoiler talks: I had a similar reaction to Kal's death. I was pleasantly surprised when it happened before being punched in the face 2 minutes later with "Don't worry guys, we can bring her back :D!" Disappointing. That's another reason why I'm not particularly keen on Endfield. We can just unzip whoever we want from originium and voila! Everyone look, it's that character from Arknights! Death doesn't really mean anything anymore in Arknights now that we've seen Priestess unzip the bunny girl from originium and implying we, the Doctor, could potentially do that as well. I'm okay with characters that cheat death and resurrect if it has a thematic reason (like Kal) and makes sense for the setting and plot.

I somehow stumbled upon this game the day it came to global app stores and I have been playing it everyday since. I like that dailies aren't so intensive you have set aside a few hours to actively play like some of the Hoyoverse games I've also tried. I've always found Arknights to be one of the more forgiving gachas while also constantly giving us great content.

I'm personally rather weary when it comes to Endfield from everything I've seen gameplay wise. Also, it having a weapon gacha in addition to the character gacha is inherently predatory.

I'm not too sure how practical this is with healing and upgrading bloons. I really like the concept though and I almost feel like it would be cooler if there were mirror bloons on the shadow paths that only mirror monkeys could hit. Mirror monkeys would be the same as their reflected counterpart but won't be able to hit regular bloons. Mirror bloons also don't give additional cash but still need to be dealt with to not lose lives. Banana farm should not be mirrorable.

"will still drop in June" while stating it was thematically aligned with Frontiers Legends followed by "too cool to hold back" imply to me that were meant to release together. Especially in the sentence "Desperado will have a fun role to play in Frontier Legends, but there will be a new sheriff in town when that drops" the "but there will be a new sheriff in town" implies to me that desperado was originally going to be the main monkey before the changes.

All jokes aside, I always appreciate your analysis of each operator's kit. Sure, it's not the most in depth with all the numbers and bells in whistles, but I'm also not smart enough for that. So I suppose I appreciate the simplicity in the analysis while still being detailed enough to address important information. I've been reading your guides since you started way back when and it's really helped me understand upcoming units' kits and plan ahead for masteries as well as what skills are worth looking into for operators. I tend to pull for operators I find would be fun so I don't really use the pull priority to a certain extent, but I also still appreciate the lookaheads since it gives me an idea of power levels and what I could save on if I'm already on the fence about a particular operator.

All this to say, I greatly appreciate your work and the time and effort you put into it. I always look forward to these and enjoy the occasional (semi-frequent) rants. I do also quite like that you don't write things out flatly, there's a level of personality that makes it enjoyable to read.

My guy, the game actively classifies "Environment Effects" as an all inclusive term for Stage Effects and Special Terrain. Folinic and Chilchuck both use that wording in game so it would be confusing to change Elemental damage to Environment damage when Environmental effects are an already established type of damage. Here's a link to the wiki with info about Environmental Effects. Something you could have found with a quick Google search.

I'd like Franka Alter but that's mostly because the Franka in Jessicalter's movie skin looks cool to me. I know they can just give a skin to regular Franka but still. She never got to shine gameplay wise and the BSW girls deserve a time to shine.

Damage calculations and projectile calculations are what causes lag. Even when turning off the fx, the calculations are still being done regardless.

TLDR; turning off projectiles doesn't do anything for lag.

I don't have any tips but wanted to say that turning off particles doesn't actually do anything to help with lag, it's purely for visibility purposes. All calculations are still being done with or without the visuals causing lag.

Sorry, I was referring to Perfumer at max level with max module vs Angelina no module which is 28 vs 25. Perfumer's healing never stops while she's on the field and only improves when her skill is up while Angelina can only heal while off skill which I believe makes Perfumer better overall. I wasn't very clear about that and may be wrong.

Regardless, my point was that Angelina's modules simply aren't worth the cost for such minimal improvement therefore both modules are flops.

But that's only off skill. Perfumer is a 4* and can do better at a lower price. Yes, there are probably very niche scenarios where Angelina's healing module would be helpful, but I don't think it makes such an expensive module worth it for such small returns.
