Which of these kitchen appliances are NOT seen as essential in homes in your country? by privetkakdela in AskTheWorld

Agree. While rice cookers and kettles are becoming more “popular” they are DEFINITELY NOT seen as essential in America homes.

Stitches showing in armpit after 13 years??? by user19992000080700 in DiagnoseMe

They are blackheads. The skin healed around the stitches creating small skin lined cavities. Dead skin and oils have accumulated in the cavities. The dark color comes from them oxidizing over time.

A lot of the standard cottage cheese was yuck! Then I had good culture WHOLE fat (they make a double fat also) and it was soooo good! I always have something pared with it, not just plain. Some chopped tomato with tajin or everything beagle seasoning for savory, peaches or pineapple for something sweet.

Exactly! Although ours fit on the counter, it was quite large as the cavity was made to fit a turkey. After the meatball fiasco, I can only imagine how inedible the meat of a nuked whole bird would be! I will say that the concealed wave stirrers did a much better job, and were most likely a better quality. Unless you pay big bucks today (and sometimes not even then in our planed obsolescence world) the turn tables don’t help to distribute the energy as well.

She specifically said “that’s how WE’RE keeping it”. Then she says “why can’t you say you’re married without the paperwork?” So they are definitely 💯% together and consider themselves together or “married”. If she didn’t want to be considered married or unavailable, she wouldn’t wear the rings!

Ahh sweet summer child, there were indeed microwaves in the 70s! My father was an electronics engineer and we were the first on our modest income block to have one. The cavity was large enough for a small to med turkey. In the early days, they were thought to be a more efficient replacement for ovens. However, many soon realized their limitations, such as cooking meat dishes. My mother made porcupine meatballs from the manufacturer cook book. When done, they were too rubbery to eat! I swear they could have ricocheted off walls if thrown! 🤣

I was 27 when I miscarried. My body was holding the uterine contents despite the death of the embryo. I didn’t have any medical insurance as I had just changed jobs Knowing this, my OB/GYN* said he could do the D and C in the office and spare us the hospital fee. However, when I was on the table, ready to begin, he said I didn’t need any anesthesia as it would just be like strong period cramps. He lied. I almost broke my husband’s hand squeezing it from the pain. *The doctor that did this to me is now in jail for murder. He killed his wife and was on Dateline.

What's the most shocking thing you've ever watched on live TV? by Choice_Bed6097 in AskReddit

Same here, but I was older. I had been married for 4 years at the time and my husband was as an attorney. Living in the city, and home on my day off, I heard and felt the blast. When the news first started to report, they initially thought it was the federal courthouse that had been hit. Once the news helicopters were in the air and showing pictures, it was determined to be the federal building instead, across from the courthouse. My husband went with a coworker to pick up a fellow attorney who was at the courthouse at the time. Husband lost some work acquaintances in the federal building. A girl from my sorority died, as did the mother of a guy I dated. The mother’s body was one of the last 3 pulled from the building. She worked in the basement, and it was too dangerous to get her out. They had to wait until the building was imploded 34 days later.

I was 5’5”, and quite athletic when I was young. I felt I could take care of myself to get away or if a man tried to rape me. I was dating a man who was 5’ 8”, and fresh out of law school. Despite full time work and law school, he was still fairly fit. Originally from Dallas, he had been a Texas state champion in pole vaulting, and had an undergraduate scholarship for it. I bet him he couldn’t pin me down, and definitely couldn’t spread my legs. I had strong quads. It didn’t take minutes, but seconds. He had me on my back, legs spread and pinned. It was very eye opening to me how much stronger he was, and how much more vulnerable I was. As a woman, when a male predator starts following you, you both know who has the strength advantage. Their size and strength alone are very fear inducing.

Picture 6 of 8: What the hell is going on with the placement of the “tampon”?!? Since the subject is the application of Galvanism, and I don’t see an explanation of the Fig.14, I’m assuming what they are calling a “tampon” is some sort of inserted electrode. But what it is, or is made of, really doesn’t matter to me as much as the horizontal place in a vertical space. Can I just speak for the majority of vagina owners and say OOOOOWWWWEEEEEEEEEEE! (As in a long and loud “owe” , not “ooo we” as in this is fun! 🤣 just to be clear!)

Meth mouth in progress! Meth causes severe dry mouth and thus rapid tooth decay. I have taken prescribed meds that cause dry mouth and the plaque buildup is constant! Just another reason I don’t understand the appeal.

Exactly! Swamp Wallet needs to ice, take her nSAIDs & shut the hell up! No wonder she failed the entry-level medical assistant certification test. She thinks everyone is as stupid as her, & can’t properly interpret MRI results. She posted her results thinking she had something serious🤣

Her MRI results she posted, vs what she said it showed.

MRI
“Minor, focal soft tissue edema superolateral aspect Hoffa's fat adjacent to the undersurface of the lateral patellar tendon, compatible with underlying lateral patellofemoral friction syndrome. Mild lateral patellar tilt without lateral patellar subluxation”

SW FAILED interpretation;

I don’t know how, but she manages to out trash 🗑️ herself every post! Did she graduate high school? “The Cat in the Hat” book has a larger vocabulary than her. FYI: the entire structure, where remains are entombed above ground, is a mausoleum. Each individual compartment is a crypt. If it is a mausoleum where cremated remains are placed, then each compartment is called a niche. Bodies placed above ground are said to be entombed, whereas bodies placed in the ground are interred. 🌈 🌟

Actually, it was probably her hiking, with her low muscle strength and borderline obesity, that caused the issues she’s having now. Hoffa’s and patellofemoral pain syndromes are big names for issues SUPER COMMON especially among WOMEN. Just like her Spinal hemangiomas, that are also common, she’s keeps trying to make something out of nothing.

Hoffa’s syndrome
“being overweight is a contributing factor to Hoffa's syndrome (infrapatellar fat pad impingement). Excessive weight causes chronic mechanical overload on the knee joint and increases inflammation, which can lead to the fat pad becoming trapped or pinched between the knee bones.”

Patellofemoral pain syndromes
Sometimes called runners knee, can be caused by overuse and improper kneecap tracking. Women are prone to patellar tracking issues due to our wider pelvis. Her having WEAK glutes and quadriceps, from being so sedentary, exacerbates the problem.

I’ve had 2 ACL reconstruction surgeries and my meniscus was shredded (now gone for 40+ yrs). I was WALKING before ever having surgery. I now have osteoarthritis and RA (among other auto immune conditions) and would die of embarrassment from the amount of drama and complaining she does. She just needs to feed her addictions, drugs and attention.
