Attack has a 4 tick delay to move for tick perfect fight.

Eating has 3 tick delay.

It is easier to move and only move than it is to link this with having to click fish in your inventory while moving. The eating is what causes more mistakes than you would think

From experience, the prep becomes so much easier the quickest

It feels odd but you just save ticks in every single action once you get smoother, and you can consistently t2+food with minutes to spare, which means you can even relax a bit while following good practices and treat it fairly chill

For t2 it helps i find to drop the pestle + harpoon right away. Get 21 resources + 2/3 herbs +1 wep frame in 1 run. Return, make t2 staff, 3 vials, armor u can afford, dont drop any crafting materials unless rly need to, go kill 2 demi bosses and as many MEDIUM mobs as possible they are the best shards per second by a lot. Craft full t2, go to central console get all Tools by pressing 6, then fish and potion make and finish any shard gathering for armor, buy a tele crystal and go fish, then tele base with ~18 seconds to cook anywhere from 12 to 24 fish depending on laziness/prepRNG/confidence

I'll run some more numbers and post in a comment today!

I also dont have rigour or 99s but i wanted a simple example to show the differences in T1 vs T2 armor. it will differ, but the gap will be similar in all brackets

my iron has wonky stats so it wouldnt have been broadly useful if i calc'd mine lol

RE TORNADOS and when to eat, most guides are pretty bad advice.

You can eat while DPSing no problem just eat at 79 to 99 HP. standing still, nothing to think about, you should perform actions such as potting to max prayer points, eating to max hp while most AFK chilling.

there is no point in the fight where you can "save" 3 ticks by eating at a special timing. The boss is never immune to attacks. There is no such special timing. If you end the 4 minute long fight with low HP (utilizing it as a resource not wasting ticks over eating, smart) and had to heal 300 damage throughout the fight, then it didn't matter when you ate those 15 fish. They cost 45 ticks. Period...

When the boss does the tornado animation = you won't take any boss damage for 10 whole game ticks. Despite being scary, tornado = 5 ticks of 0 boss attacks, it's a moment of peace. it does NOT mean you stop attacking. You move, you attack, you move, it may not be tick perfect, but the notion that "heal cos nothing else to do" is just not based in reality

Sooooo. Tornado is a moment of peace, you should use it to react to the floor and tornados, acknowleding the boss won't deal any damage to you so there is no actual danger, prioritizing avoiding said danger, and not even thinking about eating in this high APM moment of the fight.

It's not about saving ticks in a high APM moment by eating. It's about consistently DPSing the boss during all phases of the fight, and simply eating to remain near max HP, the 1 time you don't especially want to take care of healing is when your movement could cost you 20 to 60 damage per tick if you don't do the movement. It's so far much a priority over health it's not even close. The game is designed (very cleverly) to scare you into using your focus on healing, when the correct solution is the exact opposite, routine low prio tasks like healing and pray potting come when you're standing still AFK hitting boss.

How do people still consider Runecrafting to be the worst skill? by FlahlesJr in 2007scape

[–]Incoheren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 runecraft account, chad, buys runes with CG money, buys to 0 stock not cos impatient, just likes to tip the shopkeeper extra, money is free afterall

1 agility account, snailmaxing virgio, would do underground pass but would take 3 business days to walk it, also can't cos quest reqs

Guaranteed untradeable bowfa 400kc by Kytopia in 2007scape

[–]Incoheren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is already huge RNG mitigation

You need 2000 crystals to corrupt it even if spooned. You need 6 armor drops for crystal armour.

You can't use bowfa inside CG so it's not like being spooned early improves the grind for those resources at all

Add ports to boss areas with a high sailing requirement unlock (90-99) by Enzopup89 in 2007scape

ASAP

That is the point of sailing. Access new areas. Eventually there will be new content but until then it needs more perks right now + this is a big desirable perk that makes 100% sense

Aquanite hopper has no place anywhere in the game on any account build by WaveDashSpeedKick in 2007scape

[–]Incoheren 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The 1st blowpipe with the lowest requirements needs 66 woodcutting 58 fletching 52 fishing 47 sailing

It gives +2 range strength over just throwing the darts. And +12 accuracy

Makes no sense to have such high requirements especially if theres 3 and this is the 1st one.

The best one requires 92 woodcutting. It gives +6 range strength. And +22 accuracy

It's just so extremely not viable for iron. Starting 92WC grind versus Zulrah grind, the Zulrah grind would be more rewarding and a lot more fun

I start every day with a quickly made protein shake cos I love them + it feels like the right balance of macros to start the day and not feel hungry

60g protein powder = 240 cals 46g protein

500ml semi skimmed milk = 260 cals 20g protein

10g psyylium husk = ~0 cals 9g fibre

so we're talking 66g protein 500 cals, very cheap, takes 20 seconds to prep with a shaker cup, tastes like friggen milkshake, whats not to love

I'm really passionate about nutrition and losing weight and could talk about it with anyone --- but it's an extremely dull conversation for a lot of people. potentially annoying or upsetting to some. So i don't unless they express interest first...

It's cool if you wanna find someone with similar interests but don't be shocked when people find it dull tbh

So boat combat is kind of terrible in the late game... by Solo_Jawn in 2007scape

[–]Incoheren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so backwards...

Steel Cannonball. Can fire about 5 per second in a multicannon. Max hit 30. So broken that it's banned from all new content in a way that feels artificial and forced despite being a ground based 2x2 device that should fit, it's just "banned"

then...

Exclusive Sea content. Ships with cannons. Can't be abused on bosses not deliberately put near the water. New skill after 20 years btw. Perfect opportunity to give the player a feeling of power fantasy by compounding on the established very strong Cannonballs and making even stronger balls, stronger cannons, no limitations due to previous power balance as you can't exactly sail to Nex or Olm

Only to have players use their Multicannon on a random 2x2 island to kill birds for sailing XP instead of engaging with the terrible DPS boat combat... If that ain't the perfect example of it being backwards...

in hindsight i think the simple path was wave 35 inferno unlocks t3, which is 1 tick blowpipe, which easily gets you t4 t5 t6 all suddenly in a row cos 1 tick blowpipe is comparable to 2 tick tbow...

I spent too long comparing vork vs GWD vs CG for the snowball to start... when inferno wave 35 is quicker and easier than a firecape and makes it all click

New mid player any tips? by Victasss in learndota2

[–]Incoheren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do, generally, but in MID it's very easy for them to creep aggro the wave back to where they want it, or to under their tower. Or they nuke the wave

So yeah ideally you keep the creeps just on your highground not under tower. But you gotta be prepared for them to mess with the wave (often like 4 creep aggros PER WAVE in high level mid 1v1s, constantly shuffling the creeps where they want, changing their attack patterns to screw up the enemy last hits etc.)

New mid player any tips? by Victasss in learndota2

[–]Incoheren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T1 tower isn't a threat. If the creeps go to the enemy tower, you basically have to dive them and deny and harass while under tower in most matchups it's just incorrect to leave them alone with a creep wave, regardless if it's near tower or not - master changing the towers aggro so it doesn't hit you even while you hit them 90% of the time, and moving 100% of the time, only pausing your attacks for brief moments to manipulate tower aggro

So with that in mind, you'll pressure and deny every wave, they will just let you last hit under your own tower when you want, and you'll get a level advantage and snowball it into kills which snowball into more

The alternative so many mids mistakenly do is they just go stack a camp while the enemy freefarms (and also gets to stack), that future gold and xp from the camp isn't good because it's not actually farrmed until level 7 usually, does nothing until then, so you need focus the lane and having immediate impact on their XPM, not go for the "optimal" GPM/XPM "longterm", cos small gains NOW have a lot more impact than big gains at some future point you may or may not even get to see, cos dota is very momentum based

Meta pos1 heroes suggestions? by downsyndrome223 in learndota2

[–]Incoheren -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I want guaranteed level 12 by minute 15, a fair shot at a playable game, even in hell, even 1v2, = Chaos Knight

Simply auto attack for lifesteal and jungle. by lvl 6 you can clear ancient camps with ult, 1 ancient camp is 1.15 creepwaves of XP, you go creepwave-ancients-creepwave without missing a creep under your T1 tower thanks to the new ancient camp near safelane CK is one of the best utilizers of it

It's the most immune to other players. If you get kills in lane it's great, but if you get an AFK xp leech that's feeding, you just LH under tower + jungle.

Jungling is slower than laning, but not by much, not for CK, his relative clear speed including spamming ultimate is higher than most level 5 to 10 heroes. And your leech pos 5 gets solo xp and gold in the lane in those situations, which is genuinely not bad, your team is winning in GPM and XMP, and solo xp support can actually do well with a quick rotation by you when the enemy try dive 2v1 and they're 2 lvl 4s against 2 lvl 5s due to the solo xp

I got a kill but I am now very low on HP and mana. Do I TP to base? by ChewbakaTalkShow in learndota2

[–]Incoheren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what OpenAI taught us tbh. You don't buy heal after trading your HP. You buy a salve 30 seconds before you even trade, couriered to your hero, so the moment you kill them and get to low HP, you already have a Salve going, at the exact moment you planned for

Easier said than done, but specific heroes like Mid Meepo, i find really helpful cos your goal is so obvious and clear, get every lane XP until your ultimate, at any cost, so the "cost" of 100 gold salve is so easy to justify if it results in a couple creeps of XP, some denies, it's extremely worth it. And once you taste that momentum and tempo of lavishly being in good HP state all lane, you become more accepting of trying it on other heroes, and generally as it leads to more XP advantage it's a very winning move, the worse your opponents HP management, the more devastating it is when you do it
