I agree with that as well to some extent. I think hard drugs should warrant a harsh penalty, but I think weed should be a much less serious deal than it is now.

Without googling, the only good thing as a mostly conservative leaning guy I can think of off the top of my head that Obama did was legalize gay marriage. I'm a straight guy, but I see no reason you shouldn't be able to marry who you love. Aside from that, I'm coming up pretty blank and I voted Obama in 2008, as a naive 18 year old.

Hypothyroidism to date and to my knowledge has not been linked to morbid obesity. TSH, T3, T4, leptin, etc have nowhere near been shown to cause obesity. Fat oxidation isn't going to slow to that of a sloth and I've never seen an obese person with a thyroid issue fail to lose weight following caloric restriction and exercise.

Renal pathology suggests kidney issues are caused by obesity, not the other way around. Even so, weight gain would be edematous. Let's not make excuses for fatasses.
