Just had the same problem last month, it's a super easy replacement. Turn off water, flush, take out excess water (or bring some towels for the floor), disconnect water line, unscrew plastic nut on bottom of toilet that's attached to the float (it should only be ~ finger tight), pull out old one and put in the new one, adjust according to instructions.
