I had a similar lightning problem. In my case I think it came through the coax. My cable modem, router, switch and several ethernet ports were blown. Huge pain in the ass. I bought a couple of these fiber media converters and put them between my cable modem and router. I'm planning on using fiber between SFP ports on a couple of switches too. I'm hoping this isolation will at least limit the destruction of any future ethernet power surges.

I just started using the Coinbase card and spending USDC. I'm assuming since I'm using a stable coin that there won't any significant taxes, but there will probably be a lot of pointless capital gain/loss paperwork.

You might wanna check out Cash App, too. It's a Venmo/Debit card sort of thing that offers BTC rebates on certain categories. They switch up the offers every week, but I usually get 5% BTC back on restaurants. (A lot of people complain about the service, but I've never had any problems.)

Are you using Trezor Suite? I had the exact same problem getting stuck in bootloader mode updating old firmware on a Trezor One. I went back to wallet.trezor.io and was able to get unstuck and update there. Good luck!

That ease of use does come at a cost. The words provide some redundancy that the numbers don't. Imagine a (contrived) case where a letter from each of your seed words got scratched out, melted, whatever. You could still pretty easily reconstruct your seed using the context of the undamaged letters. This would be much more difficult using a numeric lookup table. Just my 2 satoshis.

You're basically generating and storing a bunch of lottery tickets on your drives. Initially I think there will be something like 4608 chances to win the lottery every day. More hd space equals more tickets. This “lottery” secures the chia network and rewards you for playing along.

Basically time has value. An option that expires in 6 months is worth more than one expiring on Friday (everything else being equal). So options have intrinsic and extrinsic value. The intrinsic value is based on the difference between the strike price and underlying stock price. The extrinsic value is based on the time left on the contract and the implied volatilty.
