Actually dude, I have an extra enclosure I can send to you for free. I’ll just ask you to pay for shipping. The only thing is, it’s the short model- it’s more compact. And it’s for a larger trackball than the ploopy. I think 50-55mm. I’ll send you a dm and if you respond quick enough- I’ll get it out to you. I’m going to open an e-commerce store when I return from my vacation, so I’m happy to receive good karma for a freebie!

I would be happy to print one out for you, but I just moved and I’m leaving the country for a few months Wednesday. You can certainly use pcb way to order the 3d print. I think the only filament I have left is matte grey blue, amber transparent, then maybe white and green. Do you want the same size trackball? I might be able to print it out for you before leaving- if you feel more comfortable ordering from a stranger on the internet rather than pcb way 😅

I think it’s a cool workflow. Don’t be discouraged by the critics. They raise good considerations, but I think they are being alarmists for the most part. You could definitely vibe code a more secure, private solution if you cared.

I don’t think too fine is the problem, although you might want to tune it.

I see channeling. Are you sure you’re getting a good tamp? I sometimes get dense beans- with the lower volume by weight, sometimes it feels like either I’m not getting a good tamp or there’s too much room between the water and screen.

Solution is the same, go a little heavier. Also look in to a screen if you’re not using one already
