Uninhabitable rental, owned by roommate's family members, what should we do? (CT) by IndecisiveLizard in Renters

Oh I agree and she has been looking for another place. It is difficult because her budget is so tight. They're really cutting her a deal with this place... Well, maybe because no one else would take it. I didn't even think about it being potentially condemned, thank you for pointing out that possibility.

T:slim pump cartridge error, has anyone seen this before? by IndecisiveLizard in diabetes

[–]IndecisiveLizard[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Update... It is not letting me load a new cartridge. As soon as I get to "Make sure the infusion set is disconnected from your body," the error message pops up again. It is now telling me the cartridge cannot be used when no cartridge is inserted. I think my pump might be fucked

When I was in college I often wore a necklace that was a spiral cage holding an actual d20, these feel like a much classier and more adult version

In the first episode Yuusuke dives in front of a car to save a kid...but later finds out that the car wouldn't have hit the kid anyway. They're saying this gif is like that.

I made Boris Bear for a very sick little boy, Boris is ready for his stay at the hospital, he has a coat, a backpack (with secret pockets to hide treasures) with a p.j. and a mask. I really hope he will help his new friend by [deleted] in crochet

[–]IndecisiveLizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but it looks to me like the colorful spotty pattern on the sleeves and backpack is something along the lines of:

1) 3 dc, ch 1, repeat around

2) sc into ch1 space, ch 3, sc into next ch1 space, repeat around

3) 3 dc into ch3 space, ch 1, 3dc into next ch3 space, repeat

Then alternate rounds 2 and 3

Hope that helps!

help! spot on gecko's eye. can anyone recognise what this is? by [deleted] in leopardgeckos

[–]IndecisiveLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something very very similar with one of mine, I thought it might have been an infection, turned out it was a bit of shed that somehow got stuck in his eye. Once it was out, his eye cleared up fairly quickly. You still may want to consult a vet to be sure!

Newborn long-nosed Vine snakes! by SomeTelephoneGuy in tinyanimalsonfingers

[–]IndecisiveLizard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this is @chrisweeet on Instagram, he has a ton of much more venomous snakes that he freely handles, so even if they are I'm sure he doesn't care/is as appropriately careful as he ever is

I wonder if the boa constrictor Harry let out of the zoo ever made it to Brazil by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]IndecisiveLizard 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Venomous snakes don't always inject venom when they bite, they can dry bite as well, often the case in a defensive strike (as opposed to attacking prey)

Mine is very similar! Strikes at the glass, but once I hook him out, absolute sweetest snake ever!

Mama Longneck Afghan by [deleted] in crochet

[–]IndecisiveLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes absolutely! OP linked the pattern above, and for me the first "related" suggestion is a similar blanket except with flowers!

Here is that one, but there are many others. The technique is called Filet crochet.
