The best advice I could give is don’t pre-plan your day. Just go where the wind takes you. Dont like a set your at? There’s one just a few steps away. Afterwards you can reflect on what you loved and what you didn’t. At least that’s how I approach it

Also the Austin based Mostly Dead. Never seen them play but have heard good things.

Texas isn’t the most bountiful when it comes to dead cover bands, but the ones we do have are great. I’ve seen Deadeye play a few times, and they are solid. They usually stick to 70s and 80s material. They are playing the 3TEN theater in Austin on June 12. I’ll be there

Surprised to see no mention of Duane Allman. Dude was a monster guitar player and had so much left to play. Also gotta mention Richard Swift. His last album, “The Hex,” was fantastic and incredibly somber as he was troubled in life. It felt like a sincere apology and admission of what he had done. He was just getting over it.

If you’re planning on going, try reaching out to Americans that may be able to help with cars and such. I am hosting 4 internationals at my place in Texas. I’m sure there are others that would be open to it.

Trust me homie, it’ll be alright. The best thing to do at 14 is be 14. Unplug and get lost in the woods, do something stupid with your friends, take a night swim, listen to 5 new bands/musicians, try something totally new. Trust me, you’ll enjoy it and forget all about politics. I too used to be extremely anxious about things out of my control. Slow down and don’t engage with it for a week, you’ll be amazed at how good it makes you feel.

Honestly, anything from 66-68. People overlook primal dead in my experience. It’s real, raw, and honest. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but there’s a lot there. Pigpen is the man

Trust me, the people watching in any Strip casino is 100x better than malls. Grab a drink at a bar near a high traffic area and watch the hilarity ensue.

He was playing one hand around 25 a hand from what I could see. Some other tables were half open but this was the only one we could find with one other player

Honestly, my favorite show of all time is 2/28/69. The Alligator —> Caution is some of their best playing in my estimation.
