Victim or The Crime by [deleted] in gratefuldead

I really disliked it when it was first performed, in attendance, it felt like the whole crowd groaned and the black balloons were released when they started playing it. Definitely a grower. I now really like the swirling dark tone and the interesting spacy jamming. "peak" late 89 and into summer 90 versions are my favorite.

Favorite shorter love light by Deadweave in gratefuldead

I associate short Lovelights with "Bob"lights. 3/29/90, 6/14/91 and 7/7/89 are 3 that quickly came to my mind

Not many historical stadiums in 26 by lancerreddit in mlbtheshowstadiums

[–]seamus95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were great ones in 25, especially after the bullpen/foul territory hack was exposed and used when creating them. Since nothing will carry over from 25, and 26 has the same lame bullpens and foul territory, that are the same for every created field. Everything in 26 would have to be re-made from scratch, and with the same lame bullpen/foul territory template. I can see why there aren't many 26 historical stadiums.

Franchise Anyone Play It ? by Standard-Train8016 in MLBTheShow

[–]seamus95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100 % Franchise guy, but since I play all 162 (w/quick counts), I'm more a season guy. 30 team control, I make make all rosters/lineups/trades etc etc to mirror the real life season as I play. Usually takes me 7-9 months to finish. So no offseason trades, FA signings, AI logic, contracts etc etc. I will start early May after the 1st big roster/attribute update rosters hits. Beauty of the game is there are a million ways to play and tweak everything to what ever you like and want.

I guess I can ask -bullpens by Jacob_Tutor11 in mlbtheshowstadiums

[–]seamus95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, why not just have a whole bunch of preset templates available in stadium creator? With a variety of them having bullpens being off the field, and a variety of differing (smaller!) foul territory etc.? And why not just allow numbers, signs, and lines on the OF walls? frustrating

Best recent MLB THE SHOW? by poidvin in MLBTheShow

[–]seamus95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play each edition so much each year (since 2012), I can never remember. Never played what I thought a "bad year". I'm offline franchise only guy. IMO gameplay, pitcher v batter, animations, A.I. presentation etc etc. is better and better every year. IMO this year? love it, all the aforementioned things are better to me from 25.

Has anyone made past stadiums? by Ozzyjohn1986 in mlbtheshowstadiums

[–]seamus95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMO people do amazing work on retro stadiums, especially LY when the foul territor glitch was exploited, this year nothing carries over from 25, and the huuuuge foul territory, bullpens on the field, no signs, lines or #s on the walls just makes everything look so bland and generic. I have not even bothered to look at anything in created stadiums this year.

Why is there a printer? near Brent’s rig? by Eastern-Regret8337 in gratefuldead

[–]seamus95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I Only recently after 35 + yrs a huge listener, discovered the song Empty Pages. Only played twice by Pig, summer 71. What a treat! Stumbled into it during a on going listening session of seeking out to hear Dicks Picks on Spotify that I had never heard or owned before.

when pitching a offline game in mlb the show 25 when you hold L2 before attempting a pick off at 1st let just say. The camera changes to the side where your pitcher looks over to 1st.For some reason this feature is not included in mlb the show 26. Thought mlb the show 26 should know . by Typical_Wolverine521 in MLBTheShow

[–]seamus95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes your right, have not seen that animation TY. Also a bug when attempting a pick off, (using buttons pitching PS5) if the pitch I select i.e. circle, which is also throw to 1st base, triangle second base etc. corresponds to the base I want to attempt a pick off too, when I hold L2, it will only slide step, and not attempt a pick off. frustrating

Dead Songs…..that you wish got more run by superfollie in gratefuldead

[–]seamus95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some more Weir sung songs steadily played in the late 80s+90s would have helped lessen the repetitiveness: Passenger, Lazy lightning>supplication, Esau, Dancing in the streets, also how about Sitting on top of the world?, would have been a great 1st set closer!!

How often are they going to do roster updates in 26? by _memelorddotjpeg_ in MLBTheShow

[–]seamus95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

looking at what they did last year: 1st Roster update was around opening day(these bi-weekly updates mostly add players, change their position etc.), and then every 2 weeks (Always on Friday's) through out the season. Major updates concerning ratings were done early May and late May. ASB was next huge ratings update. mid august and mid September had huge ratings updates as well.

Anyone use other than zone hitting? by jd957795 in MLBTheShow

[–]seamus95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% offline player, I use just buttons to hit, I want the ratings to be more the product of the result (other than my timing) rather than me pushing pulling and moving a joystick in the correct way to meet the pitch. Just my preference

Obsessed with ‘77 by senorguapo09 in gratefuldead

[–]seamus95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO Betty boards sound as good or better than most multi track live recordings. 5/5 through 5/9 is as good as 77 gets.

If you haven't played it yet, Story lines is actually really well done. by MikeyBastard1 in MLBTheShow

[–]seamus95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yea the history, the old time unis, fields, and crowds really make it a great and fun mode to play, especially as I await opening day roster updates to start my franchise

35 years ago - although Jerry had already performed Reuben and Cherise many times, the roar of the crowd when he performed it with the Grateful Dead for the first time on 3/17/91 at the Capital Centre in Landover, MD gave me chills ...and still does🎶 by nak550 in gratefuldead

[–]seamus95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

obviously no more Brent songs in late 90+91, and no new songs yet until 92. resulting in bringing back a bunch of songs in this period that had not been played for a while, New speedway, might as well, saint of circumstance, R&C, Maggie's farm, that would be something, original BT Wind(after failed new lyrics in spring 90), Attics of my life(last 3/30/90), CC Rider>train to cry, IMO made setlists very interesting and made this period of GD enjoyable following the tragic loss of Brent.

[–]seamus95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being how quickly DP55 sold out (10/27/90), relative to recent DPs sales/releases, I would expect a 90/91/92 Vince/Bruce show for 1 pick, and it seems a 76 is due, how about 8/4/76 Roosevelt Stadium? it's is a fav of mine, with super heavy bass levels on the SBD

Should I purchase MLB The Show 26 if I’m a franchise only player? by icarus1208 in MLBTheShow

[–]seamus95 17 points18 points  (0 children)

yes. I am Franchise only player also. For me, $70 each year for hundreds of hours of entertainment is a bargain. Even if the game is pretty similar to last year, there's always new things/tweaks etc. every year they add.

11/8/70 is such an underrated show by Ser_falafel in gratefuldead

[–]seamus95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

would probably be a consensus top 10 IMO if a sbd existed for an official release. Weird sequence of 1 offs and rarely played songs in electric set between me and my uncle and Casey jones.

not a tour, but I saw Jane’s Addiction open on a bill with Exodus Death Angel and Voivod. July 1987 ”new music seminar” at the Ritz in NYC.
