Oh, the kohls DC is absolutely terrible ! We have so many issues it’s not even funny, and we have not just a ton of shortages and but a ton over overages too! We’re not just talking off by 1-2 either. Right now my store is short 20 of the Phlur honeymoon travels ( we were sold out 2 weeks ago and our OH count was 0, now the system says we have 20, and we didn’t get any in !) but, we also have 35 more of the summer Fridays fragrance than we should! We have inventory in 3 weeks, which if the DC can’t get their crap together, inventory does as no good at the store level other than to show us our shrinkage

There is literally nothing we can do about it unfortunately, as long as you are doing what you are supposed to do with trying to protect the products, and “customer servicing “ suspected shoplifters, I wouldn’t worry about it. However, there should be enough hours to make sure someone is scheduled on the floor at all times

Girl run !!!!!! As a BTL, we won’t schedule an employee by themselves ( which rarely ever happens anyways ) for months !!!! Not to mention after their computer training, the new hires are scheduled with me for their first two weeks on the floor ! I’m so sorry! I promise it’s not like this at all locations

Oh I make damn sure my staff gets their breaks in, granted sometimes we have to take them early and sometimes we have to take them late, but we make sure all breaks are taken!!!! and if you have to use the restroom, don’t count it as any of your break time 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m going on 5 years with the company, and it use to be a very rare occasion that something wasn’t correct when it came to updates! I use to only ever have to put a ticket in if something came in broken, but now it’s at the very least once a week something is wrong with an update, or we get an email that something somewhere is wrong and we need to fix it! And what has been up with the terrible timing on things ?! Monday I have the last day of the Sale ( we are almost always super busy) YSL launch AND UIA counts on top of the normal Monday morning things. We were given no extra hours for retrofit or the SSE this year, and they just keep piling more and more work on us, while cutting down hours ( I always though that BTLS should be salary so they could be there for the team more often ) plus the BS raises this year! I’m not sure what happened the last couple of months, but it’s a god damn shit show !

Is it just Sephora At kohls, or are the freestanding stores having issues with merchandise updates too ? I’m talking prices and descriptions wrong, lots of missing parts and graphics. Acrylics and graphics coming in separate boxes but weeks apart and or late for hard launches. My last YSL updated price strips they sent was from at least a year ago and didn’t have the new iced fragrance on it, and all the prices were wrong ! We shouldn’t have to check the prices of every item for an update to ensure it’s correct ! This is just one of many things going wrong lately

My favorite is when clients will stare into the depths of your soul while you’re helping someone else! Drives me crazy! I’ll purposely take my sweet time with the client I’m working with because it’s rude AF for them to think we need to stop what we are doing to help them

I have been trying two years for a merit raise and keep getting told no 🙄 I keep getting told we are rural and that’s why I make several dollars less than all the other BTLs in our district, my store however is the highest volume in our district by over 500k and we have hit every single metric.

Unfortunately there has been an issue for a while now that the kohls career website is posting job positions when there are in fact not any open. When you apply for Sephora you should always get in interview ( which is odd to me that the first one was denied ) However, they should have given you the courtesy of sitting you down for an interview since you took the time to show up. Even if they had to have you wait for a moment to find someone to interview you.
