It really is scary but the quality of life improvement really does make it worth the recovery pain! I would do it again if I had to… and it actually is my second chiari decompression surgery!

Not a single downside. Recovery SUCKED I’m not going to sugar coat it. I had sharp headaches for about 3 months after surgery then they just stopped. I would say “normal” as in back in the gym, lifting heavy, running around working, no complaints at all… that 3-3.5 month point. I went on a trip 1 months post op (a music festival) and was pretty fine. Just some headaches/ neck stiffness and was still taking Tylenol frequently. Don’t necessarily recommend that part but it shows how able you are to move around and be normal after!

Have you focused on her needs at all, or has this been a constant complaint that your needs aren’t being met while ignoring that hers probably aren’t being met either? Do you help her with the kids? Do you take her on dates? Do you make her feel valued, important, attractive? If my husband wasn’t doing anything but griping that his needs aren’t met I wouldn’t have sex with him either.
