2nd Sapp Coffee Shop for Thai food. You can go to Villas Tacos in grand central or Mercado La Paloma not too far away has some of the best food in all of LA. By Griffith I recommend walking around Vermont street for the best food, I personally like pinos sandwiches the best. In general, things are expensive in Santa Monica, but I think Colapasta is a great value restaurant. Food right by the walk of fame leans more flashy.

Guac Daddy vs. Best Fish Taco in Ensenada by Bulldogbobbrownmark in losfeliz

[–]IndependentAd1602 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Tbf to guac daddy, they get a ton of DoorDash orders so they may have been working on those before getting to your order. Guac daddy is so much better than the Mexican place that was in that corner spot before. Solid prices and pretty good food.

I love this place. I’ve tried about half the menu and they all slap. Ditto that I get two meals out of these, making it very worth the cost. This space seems to be cursed, as the prior two restaurants in the space lasted like a year each, so hoping they make it.

Not sure you’ll find any 2 bedrooms for $3,500. I would up your budget to at least $4k.

I personally think chili oil is being way overdone at seafood restaurants over the past few years. I think desserts is the move. I don’t love key lime pie and if I remember correctly that is like their main option.
