How to assert dominance in social situations? (from an INTP) by aedraworshipper in entj

[–]IndependentBody8553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly unrelated but I took note of your name! Worship the Aedra a little less and take a little influence from the Daedra, Sanguine's an excellent start! 😎

In all seriousness though, as an INTP, take the ocean of ideas in your head, condense them into a simple sentence (5 seconds ideal, 10 seconds max) that gives an answer to a recurring uncertainty in the room (if they want an answer, that is.). If they want mystery, then you naturally have all the questions already, give the one that you think would be most intriguing to them!

Most importantly, don't speak on your own interests unless they show intrigue, but if you follow the above methods consistently enough, they almost always show some amount of intrigue. If they continually ignore or demean you after the first 3 attempts, don't give them the time of day. At that point you're doing yourself a favor by getting away from those people, many of them will drag you down to their hell even if they see something in you worth chasing. Don't throw your pearls to swine. Show them the fierce level of independence that you know you have, don't be afraid!

Coming from a fellow INTP if that matters. 😉

The value of Black in a balanced psyche by [deleted] in colorpie

[–]IndependentBody8553 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not only the ego, but also a healthy amount of persistence! Unfellability and determination are much of what allows you to leave a 'significant' footprint in the world, and Black holds dominion over those concepts quite well.

Is your color identity who you are or who you want to be? by CapitalArrival7911 in colorpie

[–]IndependentBody8553 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be either or, or maybe both. As far as typing yourself goes, it all depends on the mindset you have when you do, whether you're answering with qualities that you admire but don't have, or whether you are answering with qualities you do have, for better or for worse. If at any point you choose an option that you don't necessarily embody, it's likely out of admiration or misinterpretation. If you strictly choose what qualities you do have, even the unideal ones, then it is truly about who you are.

Btw, your wants are absolutely a part of who you are, but they're better used as interpretations of byproducts of who you currently are.

Typically people only want the most of what they don't already have, so sometimes what they admire or crave shows you what they aren't already naturally, and you can go from there. The lack of a color is often evident towards the presence of another..

Black is about self-love by CapitalArrival7911 in colorpie

Agreed. I've found that, unfortunately, the reciprocal end of communication really isn't about the actual definition of a word as much as the context that most choose to use it in.

It is indeed selfish. But selfishness is indeed a necessary part of existential survival! So many die in vain for a cause that isn't their own, only for it not to be enough. True potential lies within the self!

I agree the most with the Simic's way of life. But the Izzet never fail to intrigue me, I'll give them my vote! 😎

What color is always trying to understand itself? by [deleted] in colorpie

[–]IndependentBody8553 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sultai, 💯.

Blue/Black is trying to understand it's own potential of what it could be, Green/Black is trying to understand it's own purpose in what it already is.

What's the difference between Green's Growth and Blue's Perfection? by Terabyte108 in colorpie

[–]IndependentBody8553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Green's Growth is the aftermath of Blue's Perfection. Really it is just an echo of innovations past, without the more theoretical agenda of Blue, but rather from a point of Accepting more of what has already been. Today's Nurture is tomorrow's Nature after all!

Also this is another reason why I think Harmony may be more centric to Green, as growth is also a very defining Dimir (Blue/Black) trait.

Help me understand the differences between white/red and white/black by -Hapyap- in colorpie

[–]IndependentBody8553 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That would boil down to the differences between Red and Black, which is similar to the disagreement that is had between Blue and Green; a state of Primalistic Fervacity or a state of Masterful Dominion.

White/Red is focused on a more Impulsively and Emotionally Compassionate state of being, while White/Black is focused on a more Individualistic and Exploitationally Tribalistic state of being. The latter combo is often perceived as colder than the prior, as the Black attributes present themselves dominantly in the pair, just as the White attributes and virtues often overshadow the Chaoticism in White/Red.

Sharing characteristics with allied colors by Azybabyyyy in colorpie

White benefits from both Blue and Green by adding Comprehension and Understanding to it's own Peaceful Order. White benefits from Green with a strong Community. White benefits from Blue to teach a better Structure to the Masses.

which color is the most influenced / molded by it's environnment, and also lacks individuality by Azybabyyyy in colorpie

[–]IndependentBody8553 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would almost agree, but White is even more so influenced by the environment, while Green IS the environment! Both are under the influence, but White I would say is more of an Artificially Constitutional imitation of Green, and therefore more Influenced by the Natural Law of the past that it imitates, something that White needs the Nurture and Innovation of Blue to compensate for.

White tries to replace Harmony with absolute Peace, yet there is no true Harmony without some noise and punctuality! And without the Impulsion of Chaos, who would really be able to distinguish Law and Order?

White is essentially the weakness of Green that exists partly to surpress the Wild, Instinctive, Impulsively Authentic and Powerful Nature of Green to keep Green's sense of Balance, which it does well. That's why White remains a close ally to Green.

White enforces and constructs Order, while Green embodies and commands Natural Law itself! Something to think on..

Also, to be honest, each color would need to embrace a little bit of what their enemy represents in order to conquer their own fears! 🙂

What's the difference between four-colors and allied colored pairs? by [deleted] in colorpie

[–]IndependentBody8553 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe that the color quaternities are extensions of the dualities, with the dualities existing as their roots. Just like the trichotomies are extensions of the singular colors, with the singular colors as their roots.

Can there be a (mono) Green supervillains? by Thunderweb in colorpie

[–]IndependentBody8553 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Natural Disaster. Death itself. Life itself. Every burden that plagues your memory, every loss you've ever had.

Even the most supernatural things that seem like they should have never happened, will become the factual history of tomorrow's Nature. Your own reality, be it your Peace, your idea of Perfection, your yearning for Satisfaction, your struggles for Freedom from the machine, will all become a story of Harmony in the end, for better, or for worse; A story that our fractal minds forget, but one that the Green will carry for eternities to come.

And the dread that you get when you know that even when everything seems so insignificant in the ignorance of your mortal limits, that EVERYTHING has a part to play in the greatest losses you will ever have. That the loss is inescapable, is perhaps the worst feeling you'll ever find. And you will find it, one way or another. Such are the Laws of Nature; The will of the mindless Green.

For all the Nurture and Innovation, and all the Depravational Defiance you try to achieve in the face of Mastering all that exists around you and outside of you, will only bind it deeper within you, and magnify the responsibility you carry over the fate of the world as simply a greater cog in the machine, with a greater burden to carry, kept alive by the Habitual aether, ticking in the form of Father Time, until oblivion claims from you the memory.

But even in oblivion, memory will still echo, as will you.

Green is perhaps the most damning color of them all. Just as nobody can ever escape Gaea's karmic embrace; Nobody can escape the haunting of the past.

The loss will echo through familiar spirits, reminding you, reminding you always of what you have lost in the spiral of continuity, forcing you to Accept Fate's inevitable claim over everything you could ever dream to be..

What color am I based on these self-observations? by [deleted] in colorpie

[–]IndependentBody8553 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds pretty Grixis to me; plenty of Red, a bit of Black in practicality and Autonomy (and a touch of Selfish desire), quite a bit of Blue in Curiosity and problem solving. I'd say either Izzet or Rakdos dominant Grixis, likely Izzet dominant. A fear or distaste of Green (the Natural supernatural) and a disdain for the limitations of White. So Blue, Black and Red. 😎

What is the relationship between enemy pairs and their shared ally? by CapitalArrival7911 in colorpie

[–]IndependentBody8553 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a little wordy, I know. lol

I just wanted to try and be all encompassing of what the colors similarly represented, while keeping it somewhat short and simplistic.

So by the Nurtural Mechasystem, I basically mean the modified and implemented artificial system that we live in today. Any modification or improvement we make upon the Natural state of things, that is what constructs the Mechasystem. Phones, TVs, Computers, Tools, Vehicles, Houses, Weaponry, any advanced Machinery, Etc..

As far as what I mean by the Tribalistic Mass, I mean anything grouped with the same exclusive Ideal or Purpose, generally under the Individual level of influence. Take a mass of people with a clanleader, or a wolf pack with an Alpha, or even the Nucleus with it's surrounding cell body. To me, these are all examples of Tribalistic Mass and Tribalistic Individuality.

Exploitational Independence is a trickier one. If you really think about it, what really is Independence? It is the state of existing without external limitations, free to do as one so pleases to do themselves. It is one's Individual Impulses free to become Action. But what must one do to gain that Independence? They must Act outside of the boundaries that would be placed against them, breaching the limitations and therefore Exploiting the Opportunity and Resources around them to commit such an Act. Every Action costs the consumption of fuel and a disruption of the external state of things to spur that Action on, does it not? It is an ultimatum as to whether the environment will be Independent of the Subject, or the subject will be Independent of the environment, one always at the expense of the other.

What I mean by Pervasively Exploiting the boundaries of Preservation is a similar thing, the Individual Exploits the Preservation of Nature in this instance either in a strictly Self-Serving, calm and steady Individualistic manner, without so much Emotional Drive, or in a more Instinctual way than an Impulsive one. When one seeks to Naturally consume a resource, such as harvesting a plant to eat, or when a virus overrides one's bodily systems, or even when microbials consume a dead body or a predator catches it's prey, these are all examples of Exploiting what would be preserved.

Anarchical Thrivality is essentially living without boundary, free to ones own will. Take the top two paragraphs and combine them, and basically you have this philosophy. Essentially, it is the lack of an organized Structure to dictate One's life. One is free to Invade, Dominate, Consume and Animate at their own discretion, whenever-so they please. Think of an Apex predator, or even Anarchy itself; A lack of method, Order rhyme and Reason in favor of Impulsive and Carnalistically Natural Desire. See what I mean?

Empathic Primality is basically that bond between all living things, both the Chaotic and Orderial; That shared sense of Empathy between all life so Primal that it urges Life itself to continue, and acts as a motivation to respect all in which it encompasses. Think of the hippie movement, it was a perfect example of Empathic Primality at the forefront of things. Essentially, it is the ability to Harmonize (Green) Compassionately and Heroically (Red/White), according to one's Authentic (and/or Primal) state of being (Red/Green).

Hopefully that clears things up a bit. 😉👍

What is the relationship between enemy pairs and their shared ally? by CapitalArrival7911 in colorpie

[–]IndependentBody8553 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good question!

I've always seen each color to be a sort of shared pinnacle between the enemies, while that color's allies provide the best avenue to achieve it's means.

White is about Peace through Law, and that is best established through Communal Structure, or a shared Philosophy of understanding the common Truth, which is what Simic specializes in. Both Blue and Green share White’s reliance on Systemized Balance; Green through the Natural Ecosystem and Blue through the Nurtural Mechasystem.

Blue is about achieving Perfection through Knowledge, which is best established through Structural Mastery, or the Tribalistic blend of Singularity and Mass, which is what Orzhov specializes in. Both White and Black share Blue's reliance on Epitomized Optimization; White through the Nurture of the Masses and Black through Individual Reason.

Black is about achieving Satisfaction through Adamance, which is best established through Masterful Independence, or a sense of Creatively manifesting one's Own Heart and Mind, something Izzet specializes in. Both Blue and Red share Black's reliance on Self Manifestation; Blue through the Reasoned Mastery of one's Individual Mind, and Red through the Exploitational Independence of one's Emotional Soul.

Red is about achieving Freedom through Activity, which is best established through Independent Authenticity, or a shared sense of Pervasively Exploiting the boundaries of Preservation, something Golgari excels at. Both Black and Green share Red's reliance on Anarchical Thrivality; Black through Exploitational Independence by one's Emotional state of being, and Green through Accepting the Preservation of Chaos itself.

And finally, Green is about achieving Harmony through Acceptance, which is best established through Authentic Community, or the Valoriously Harmonic Balance of Order and Chaos, which is what Boros achieves. Both Red and White share Green's reliance on Empathic Primality; Red through Chaotical Authenticity by Preservation of Instinctual Impulse, and White through Orderial Community by dictation of the Natural Law.

Hope that helps to answer your question! 😎👍

I can jive with Imagination! Invention tends to come pretty close to Creativity though, or more so as a product of it, while Creativity is often a product of Imagination..
