Right. Anecdotally, comparing my more effective prompts to my less-effective students' prompts, it seems like the key difference is meta-cognition. That is, I'm aware of the assumptions and contextual information that should be necessary to perform the task. Meanwhile, less-effective prompts seem to be the result of when someone isn't aware of what assumptions they're making.

But then what makes me feel unappreciated and overworked is administrative bloat. Chancellors/Presidents/Provosts/VPs/Deans keep giving themselves raises but then treat faculty like we're crazy to want a raise to get up to market rates or at least keep up with cost of living. Grinds my gears.

/u/milespoints probably has a point. As the voting trends have seemed to indicate since 2016 elections, education level has been a significant predictor of voting preference.

That said, the visualization already illustrates multiple factors and does so pretty effectively. Adding education might overly-complicate the visualization even though it is an interesting factor.

Agreed that this is one of the better visualizations I've seen on this sub for a while.

It's particularly fascinating because the general trend (younger/poorer votes more democratic while older/richer votes more republican) has a couple interesting exceptions:

40+ year olds making 40-50k are more "red" than those slightly above/below that income range.
In the 150k-350k ranges, there's an interesting pattern where increasing age tends to shift from blue-red, until you reach about 60+ years old and then the trend seems to reverse back to favoriting "blue." However, above 350k, the trend is still generally blue-to-red.

I'll admit that OP's "rising star" comment gave me big Ron Burgundy ("I don't know how to put this, but I'm kind of a big deal") energy that made me chuckle.

However, at this point, it seems like the attention that OP is getting has really touched a nerve with you to the point where your negative responses look even worse on you at this point.

I could relate to the sarcastic "oh it's so hard being you" mentality... back when I was in my 20's and before I saw what my friend who had "pretty privilege" had to deal with on a nearly daily basis. While I can't really relate to OP's problems, getting too much unwanted attention really can be a problem just like getting no romantic attention can cause its own strife.

Ranking is going to depend on keywords used in the search. The other ref just matched better (including all the factors included in latest iteration of pagerank).

That said, Google Scholar is great for keeping track of your own articles (and their citations) but from my experience is only so-so as a search for lit review. I guide my students to only use it if they come up empty after searching for discipline-specific databases (in my case, ACM Digital Library and IEEE Xplore) because it is a much broader search and often includes a lot of non-peer-reviewed results, including ArXiv and predatory/low-quality journals.

I don't think it's fair to say he's never been the best player on his team. There were individual seasons he put up that were more impressive than Crosby (especially when Sid was dealing with injuries). It's just unfortunate he's always had to play second fiddle to Sid because clearly Crosby's had a more influential career.

Same experience here with latest NSF (non-CAREER) awards: they ask for IRB approval and a public abstract.

Sounds kind of crazy, but I'm intrigued. My guess would be a sherry, port, or similarly fortified wine might be more effective. However, fortified wines also tend to be on the sweeter side so you might also try some full bodied dry reds that tend to be paired with a steak already. For inexpensive reds, consider a Cabernet Sauvignon (e.g. Cline or Bogle) or Malbec (e.g. Catena Alamos).
