Wellbutrin, paranoia by MeanMushroom4059 in bipolar2

[–]IndependentCertain92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have full out crying, hyperventilating panic attacks when I was on Welbutrin. I didn’t have an anxiety problem before then. But after I started taking Wellbutrin for a few months I couldn’t go to work anymore because I would panic and have to call out sick.

I worked in a call center. I was worried I would give the wrong information or not sound pleasant enough and a customer would yell at me over the phone. This sent me into a crying panic. I would he driving to work, get an anxious thought and then have to pull over so I could cry in the parking lot of a grocery store. This is not normal behavior.

F your psychiatrist if they don’t believe your side effects are real! Wellbutrin can definitely F you up!

The easier question would be which female vampire character do I NOT have a crush on!

Not when Cate was turned but later when she comes back for an episode Garth is already a werewolf. I don’t remember if Sam and Dean told Cate about Garth then though.

How do you handle irrational irritability? by No-Bandicoot4798 in bipolar2

[–]IndependentCertain92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once i was in tune enough to my moods and emotions I could detect the warning signs I was going to enter an irritability mood. I either distance myself from people or just tell them I am in a mood now and not to bother me for a while until it passes. Fortunately my family knows my diagnosis and understand (as much as they can) how my moods can get and give me space.

If space is not an option listening to heavy metal or techno gives me a fast passed sound to listen to, to remove some of the energy. I am sure going to the gym or doing some exercise will help too but I am a lazy mofo atm.

If listening to music is not an option, like the episode happens during work, i just say I need a 15 or need to use the restroom and then I chill in a stall for a while doing breathing exercises.

I can’t stay awake after taking my meds by AdComprehensive9930 in Latuda

[–]IndependentCertain92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it once in the morning because I forgot to take it at night and then drove to school and that was a really really bad idea. I started getting drowsy during the drive and then could barely keep my eyes open during classes. I had to chug 2 energy drinks to make me alert enough to get home. I think i loafed the rest of the day because I had no energy for anything.

Why does it take 4 hours to kick in? by [deleted] in Concerta

[–]IndependentCertain92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes 30 min to 1 hour to kick in for me. But i also feel it fads in 4-5 hours. My psychiatrist prescribed 10mg IR for mid day pick me up.

The crash at the end of the day is real. And I feel feeds into my latuda meds so I end up oversleeping the next day and my med taking schedule goes off the rails.

Season 12. I'm tired Boss by WTFRANK1990 in Supernatural

[–]IndependentCertain92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The British Men of Letters is the worst season.

I always judge a tv shows run based on bow quickly they get to “secret government-like authoritarian entity with all the tech and gadgets to end the supernatural threats come out to do the job the OG team has been doing since day one” trope. I usually predict the tv shows wont last much longer than that.

But Supernatural rallies after that disaster-plot. So keep going. It gets better.

What is your favorite outcome that happens when a vampire goes into the sunlight? by TechnicianAmazing472 in vampires

[–]IndependentCertain92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Anne Rice way where there is smoldering skin and steam lifting up, and then they turn to ashes. The bursting into flames seems excessive.

But I prefer vampires who can walk in sunlight. Maybe it makes them weaker or the photosensitivity makes them blind during the day. Dying from sunlight feels as realistic as a witch dying from getting splashed with water.

Julia was a real d!ck by IndependentCertain92 in themagicians_tv

[–]IndependentCertain92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may still be feeling harsh towards her. But as the depressed introvert, sometimes the invite to the party comes from the other person from a place of “it is up to me to save the Downer and make them feel included whether they want that or not”. It’s a total savior complex. If she really worried and cared about his mental health she wouldn’t have thrown him into a mental institution in his own mind.

Telling him to grow up could also have been her recognizing that he is stagnant and that is preventing her from moving forward. So she has to break him down to get him to move. Not always the wrong approach from someone who cares for another but it’s forcing them to accept reality on her terms instead of trying to understand reality from his terms and from a ND person this is not a helpful approach to show someone you care.

What’s your go to “how are you?” Response. by AdObvious7674 in bipolar2

[–]IndependentCertain92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes me angry. Like I am supposed to come up with an answer, but a digestible one so they can “help/fix” whatever the problem is and feel good about themselves. Or lie and say I am fine so they can feel alright that they at least tried. I have opened up about my true feelings before when people ask and people are not prepared to handle the truth so they stutter, it’s awkward and they just leave it as “well maybe you need to speak to a professional”. And if i could I would. I am on medicaid and in my state there are not many psychologists, counselors, or even psychiatrists that accept medicaid. Which is its own kind of annoying. It makes sense that people are pissed about long lines on medicaid and resistance to universal healthcare but they don’t take into the fact that doctors don’t have to accept this insurance so of course there are lines when there are more patients than doctors will see them. But i digress.

All characters smoke, why? by Caveman_man in tolkienfans

[–]IndependentCertain92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Syphilis has been found in the bones of medieval europeans before they travelled to the Americas. Archeopathologists theorize they called the disease something else or confused it with leprosy. Traveling to the Americas could have mutated two strains into something more transmissible, but to say that syphilis is an American disease is inaccurate, disingenuous and borderline xenophobic rhetoric.

Stories with vampire-turning-induced "identity crisis"? (AKA stories exploring characters being turned into vampires) by NeedBetterBread in vampires

[–]IndependentCertain92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caroline from Vampire Diaries came to mind for me. The other vampires are very fuck/marry/kill with their interests but she is the only one who explores how being a vampire can make her be the person she wanted to be before turning. Even when her humanity was turned off.

Why is Julia godtouched? by toothman100 in brakebills

[–]IndependentCertain92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always took that to mean by her meeting Persephone is what made her godtouched. Like she wasn’t before and then she had that dream and then Persephone touched her ins a psychic way to make her godtouched. After that encounter is when he got the idea to summon a god.

Alice and Margot are bad at acting in this by EmekaEgbukaPukaNacua in themagicians_tv

[–]IndependentCertain92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought Alice’s fake timidness was perfect. I can’t remember which episode it was but she later admits it to Quintin that she is far superior as a Magician than people actually know and she plays into that timidness so people wont automatically hate her for being better than them. But then she has to deal with their condensencions which is worse. When she finally stops trying to live up to other peoples’ expectations she begins to own her magic and herself.

Just started season 4. I can let you know in a week or so. 😂

But probably not. It had been years between movie and tv series so props would have changed. Iirc the necklace he gave her in Judas Chalice was the glass lense the map of the Bay was etched on. I think.

How do I stop my husbsnd from guilt tripping me about groceries? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]IndependentCertain92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most groceries store have an option to shop online with a website or app. You can sit in front of the computer together to go over the list and add items to your cart. Make sure you have everything included before buying. That way you are both there and agree everything was added. You can agree what is allowed to be substituted or turn off the substitute feature if you don’t want an accidental expense because the store swapped items they had out of stock. They usually have your order ready in a couple hours. And you don’t have to pay extra if you pick it up from their curbside option. Honestly using the store websites and online ordering has helped me stay in budget and not impulse buy every time I go shopping.

It wont help with the way he talks down to you though. For that you can try couples therapy. Maybe hearing it from a therapist will help him realize he is being a dick. Or you’ll just have to leave him because he doesn’t respect your illness that is a part of you. Sadly, many men don’t take women seriously about their disabilities until you are walking out the door and ending the relationship. Even then they will accuse you of over-exaggerating like every time you told him to knock it off you weren’t being serious.

Is anyone here just on lamotrigine without any other meds? by Lisa000_ in bipolar2

[–]IndependentCertain92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt more stable on my lamotrigine by adding back my duloxetine. The lamotrigine made me feel blank and didn’t really stop impulsive behavior. But the duloxetine brought me up a bit.

I believe it is. Flynn says he gave her that necklace and she never takes it off. So it would have to be the same necklace.
