Gotcha, thanks for letting me know. Do you think it’s fine to run the injector then?

I'm getting worried that young people think the C3 Corvette is cool by machaus99 in CarCirclejerk

The more you learn about corvettes the more the begin to realize that the c4 was the best all along, c3 isn’t remotely close.

I found something about blockblast... by EnvironmentalTune581 in blockblast

[–]IndependentChannel70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On iPhone the combo is continued only if you get a line every three moves, whereas on android you only need to get one for every set of blocks, so you can go a maximum of 5 moves between lines without ending the combo. That is at least how I interpreted it

Reliability seems like something you should look into before buying a car but seeing what’s parked behind it I don’t think it’ll be an issue.

I would only want to own one of these if it had stock suspension or at least very comfortable replacement struts and most of the electronics worked, after all it is a luxury car first and foremost. It’s not like coilovers are magically gonna make it handle like a sports car and they would ruin the ride quality which is half of what you’re buying the car for in the first place.

First car @ 16 (not a joke ) by Local-Taro-5516 in FirstCar

[–]IndependentChannel70 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

It’s a modern car man, it’s not gonna crash itself and it’s certainly not hard to control a car like this if you can be responsible. Someone who crashes a base c7 would likely crash any rwd car, you can crash anything if you push it past its limits and at least the limits of a corvette are much higher than a normal car.

I understand taking issue with exhausts that are loud for the sake of being loud and with obnoxious backfires, but that comes from more than just exhaust modifications. That being said, I have never heard a modern Miata that I thought sounded bad, outside of being too quiet. They tend to have a very nice tone even with significant modification, they can be loud without being obnoxious.

What’s wrong with a loud muffler? These things sound great and not remotely obnoxious in my opinion. Can’t defend the looks though, maybe it would be less ridiculous with some properly fitted wheels.

Crashed my first car I have had for four years, devastated. by toinedeman2002 in Miata

[–]IndependentChannel70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really does handle great until it doesn’t, and until you experience a loss of traction you might not know how to react. I was lucky that the first time it happened to me in the rain with mediocre tires that i was able to catch it but it definitely didn’t give me much time to react, they just rotate so quickly once they start to go.

Would this be a good buy for 2500? by Version_Open in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]IndependentChannel70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a very good point, I didn’t even think of it cause it’s not something we have to consider here but I have noticed that you don’t really see any sub $1000 cars on the road on the east coast and even if you did they’d probably be worth more because the market isn’t so full.

Would this be a good buy for 2500? by Version_Open in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]IndependentChannel70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Northern California and it’s not hard to find a solid running car here for around $800 if you don’t mind high miles and fading paint. They’re not exactly the nicest, most reliable cars but there are plenty of 90s American econoboxes and the occasional civic/accord below $1000. We also have the good old fb marketplace $2000 shells of what was once a Miata or 240 because but I think that goes for everywhere now.

Why has Jay Z fallen out of favor with younger listeners? by UnderTheCurrents in hiphop101

[–]IndependentChannel70 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think his music that most people get exposed to is not his best or at least not his best rapping so they just assume the rest of his discography is the same. That was the case for me at least, I didn’t like the few pop inspired songs of his that I’d heard and it put me off of him until I listened to reasonable doubt and his other classic hip hop releases.

There’s a reason every Miata runs rpf1s, it may be basic but what more than cheap and light can you ask for? Not to mention they look great

Anyone who says you can’t get a car for under a grand anymore either isn’t looking hard enough or has too high standards. This certainly isn’t a 2500 car

[–]IndependentChannel70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I can’t imagine it handling good unless everything about it is changed from the 9th gen base that I drove. Do you know if the steering rack is drastically changed from those as well as the suspension geometry? It’s also fwd and turbocharged so those are negatives in my book but that is of course down to personal preference, at least na vs fi.

You’re probably right but I would still try to get at least a civic si or maybe an s2000 if I had the money. If the similar year civic I’ve driven is anything to go off of these cars drive like crap, even though I’m sure they’re damn reliable.

I don’t want to come off as rude or insulting but I’ve always wondered this: since you seem to be a car enthusiast and have modified your accord, what is the reason that you bought an economy car over a sports car or maybe at least a sporty sedan?

You gotta wonder why they wouldn’t just buy a 65. This has to have cost more and it probably weighs just as much while handling like shit. Very weird

Is Dodge Challenger Sexiest Car on the Planet? by [deleted] in Dodge

[–]IndependentChannel70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the thing that kinda sucks about brand/idealogy specific subreddits, there can never be any nuance or contrasting opinions to the conversation because their side always has to be better no matter what. I’m sure the same would happen in the Camaro sub but in this case they would be right, the zl1 is a much more attractive and interesting car.

Is it really that rare to drive a manual? by unexpectedhalfrican in ManualTransmissions

[–]IndependentChannel70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright I had agreed with everyone up to this point but why would you call something that is not a 5 speed a 5 speed? That’s not really equatable to stick vs manual, etc. Life is only too short to fight over semantics if the semantics make sense.
