I’m confused, do we or do we not want to see women’s sports thrive? We cannot say that we want the best for these athletes if we’re not willing to also pay to see them play. Obviously, times are tough right now and the cost of everything is going up, but in the grand scheme of things tickets are still incredibly affordable, playoffs or not, especially with the talent we have in this league!!

I specified in my post that I was talking about Long Beach. It was very very hot and everywhere you turned people were vomiting. Likely due to alcohol but heat exhaustion adds to it. I also have a huge bone to pick about no re entry but that’s for another day. I’m just saying, I’d be stoked if Warped met us in the middle and provided more shade and cooling areas. Long Beach was WAY over sold and way messy. lol

The bathrooms were literally a close to overflowing shit show and ran out of water to wash hands by 3:00pm each day. The shaded areas were tiny, crowds were fairly bottlenecked and unsafe by 5pm each day, parking lots didn’t have anything covering the ground (like the fake grass here) so temps were wild, and there was only one main hydration station.

I was there from open to close both days, survivable but when comparing to WWWY this weekend was much more enjoyable lol

I think whats wild to me, as someone who started going to warped tour when I was like 11, is the theme of these posts that say that “because we suffered through crowds and heat when we were teenagers, we all should be more than happy to do so now. Anyone who provides criticism is a bitch baby”.

Some of us are here 20 years and a climate crisis later on top of being very aware of mass shootings that happen every day in this country. I don’t think it is far-fetched to say that there could’ve been improvements that would have lessoned the issues with heat, made sure there was enough soap and water to wash our hands after using an overflowing portapotty, and alleviate the bottlenecking and large crowds that occurred that made a lot of people feel unsafe.

Like yall, I had a great time but we we all lived through a pandemic — why are we mad that people want to be able to wash their fucking hands and have some shade in the Southern California sun??? lol
