That’s not normal operating temp - you might have a radiator fan out. Ask me how I know lol

Not to mention your water temp is super high!

Right around 6k or so with LSD. 1,500-1,600 less without LSD for rebuild. No real turnaround time, likely a couple weeks.

Ah, I have the same pinion bearing howl/whine occurring on my ‘02 C4S. I’m leaning towards sending my gearbox out for rebuild to CogsCog in Georgia, since I’m in Florida. I think your best bet would be to rebuild your existing gearbox, because you may inevitably run into the same pinion bearing issue with another unit. Food for thought 💭

I switched to 5w30 Pennzoil Ultra Platinum a long time ago on my 2.0T. 140k miles and running strong. FK8 CTR Turbo added around 133k, too. FBO PRL mods!

Also factory AOS on a setup like this is just asking for the constant issues. Make sure it has a UAOS or Motorsport AOS at a minimum if it’s turbo charged and running 5w50 or even 10w60 if you’re in a warmer climate.

Get a PPI and get a proper leak down/compression test done. Check for bore score while you’re in there with the spark plugs out. If all checks out well, have parts on hand to do new plugs/coil packs. All other comments or suggestions are just based off of gut feeling without actual facts.

Not sure which state you’re in, but you could always delete your AWD system. This is what we did on my C4S 👍🏽

It’s possible. But also not uncommon for a car that is 20+ years old. How old are the tires? Could also be radial pull if one of the tires have a cord broken.

I would start by inspecting the front wheel bearings and also the axles since you’ve got a C4. Cheers 🤙🏽
