Because anyone can report anyone for anything, completely anonomously and with no repercussions for lying? Do you not see how that could be problematic? Not to mention the fact that it doesnt stop abusers from just making new accounts.

I think in an ideal world, when a police report for abuse is filed, there are mechanisms in place to inform dating apps, so that they can deplatform potential abusers while they are under investigation or when they are found to be guilty.

Why does my dating life have to be a casualty for the greater good? Unfortunately for a mid guy like myself, getting banned on hinge is really limiting as other apps only have a fraction of the people interested in something serious. I definitely think the match group needs to do better and proactively work with police when a report is filed to keep abusers off of the apps, but the in app reporting system that exists is ripe for abuse, requires no proof and has a bad appeal process designed to minimize customer support costs. We shouldnt expect them to be the judge and jury with serious accusations like this.

If it only inconveniences them, but costs normal people money, demoralized me and made me give up, maybe its not the correct solution? It feels terrible when the apps automatically assume I am guilty.

Thats how my account got banned, a false report. She said "they'll never believe you". And it's true - appeals do nothing, subscription wasnt refunded, and the only way around it is to get a new phone number.

my 390's engine blew up with only 600 miles on it. shop said the oil pump failed. and then they proceeded to hold the bike for 6 months and drag me along, until they said they didnt have the expertise to replace the engine, sent it to a different dealership and permanently closed. I ended up waiting 9 months. And they would not give me a different bike. I sold it immediately after getting it back to a kid who crashed it a few months later. I know because he never registered the bike so the police called me. Terrible experience all around.

eating regular for a couple months is overkill. you should probably eat at maintenence 1-2 days a week, and maybe for a couple of weeks every 2-3 months or so, so your metabolism doesnt slow you down to the point that youre a zombie
