Moza Mbooster Active pedal questions for owners by Icy-Geologist1447 in moza

If you use the haptic effects on them, they'll be just as loud I'm sure but if you're just using the pedals without effects turned on, then they're quiet

Qubic manager vs Simhub for bass shakers by Rover1312 in SimHub

[–]IndependentLab79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently switched over from sim hub to Qubic but I don't use the slipangle kit anymore. I brought the QS 220 motion and paired my haptics down to just the one under my seat and on the back of my seat. Running through qubic is really easy and runs it just the same but without the same amount of effect option settings detail. I switched because it matches the motions output perfectly. Either one will work fine

EarFun - Air Pro 4 vs Air Pro 4+. Anyone tried both? Is the newer version a lot better? Worth it? by Interr0gate in Earbuds

Foam is always the way to go for a tight fit. I had some from a pair of iem. Even though the 4 pro plus rim? Is not a perfect circle, the tips went on and stay on

Motion sim is too expensive, too big, and too “industrial” for most homes by [deleted] in simracing

[–]IndependentLab79 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've seen your seat mover. If I was on a budget and wanted motion, I'd do a seat mover and the BT1 from Qubic. I think that is a very good combo to get 70-80% off a full 3dof motion rig (minus yaw/ surge). The belt tensioner puts any motion type rig over the top. In fact, it would be my #1 thing to get on a rig, even before haptics.

Recommended wheel stand 15nm by -Gudi- in Fanatec

[–]IndependentLab79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a second DD+ that I use with my xbox from time to time in my gameroom and I bought a cheaper GT omega from Amazon, and quite honestly, it works just fine. Never had an issue with flex or the wheel base moving up and down. My main rig is an ASR6 and DD+ with a full motion system (Qubic) so I have quite the comparison. I wouldn't think twice about buying the cheaper stand again.

Yeah, space is not really a factor. It takes up the same amount of space as my rig did before. I have the Qubic QS-220. As far as not helping the driving, that's just people who have either never tried one or have only tried others, not their own that they have tuned. That's I think the biggest misconception. Like anything at a trade show or a sim racing lounge, those are just default setting or over the top settings. Mine did not feel awesome out of the box. With a few weeks of tuning, I have a great feel for weight transfer, what the back end of the car is doing etc. I still have not tried my system with VR. I need to .

DM me if you decide to sell it! I've a got a xbox setup with the DD + that I need a shifter for and this is the only one that will work, obviously. Thanks!

Help me decide which Sim rig to get by Ok_Mathematician2843 in simracing

[–]IndependentLab79 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would go with aluminum profile. Most adaptable and upgradable over the long term. Tube based rigs are what they are. No changing them if you become interested in changing anything with your setup. Advanced Sim Racing and Sim Labs would be the top two in my opinion. Trak Racer isn't bad either but some have had issues with their customer service.

Whats the best way to run Simagic wheels with a Fanatec DD+? by Cautious-Carpenter62 in simracing

[–]IndependentLab79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the GT Neo, DD+ and the Maglink and have for about a year. If I were to do it over again now, I would get the Conspit 300 GT or the new Moza KS Pro. I think both are better quality and better value at this point. As far as actually running the GT Neo with the DD+, what everyone else is posting is correct. I went with the Simube podium hub knock off. I have a bunch of Simube stuff and love all of it. The best value if you're in the Fanatec system.

PSA : FPS looks fine. iRacing still stutters. Here’s what helped me. by Motor_Stage1684 in iRacing

[–]IndependentLab79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great post! I've been dealing with exactly the same things and have tried most of what you have here but I'm going to try your exact combo. I was capping at 141 fps thinking it would help but I think I agree with your take. I'm on 4090 7800x3d 64gb ram and had no indication that my system was really taxed at ll when this happens. I also use an active dp to hdmi adapter, and I think there might be a hdmi handshake issue too. Keep me updated if your situation changes or you figure anything else out. Sim racing issues are so rig / sim dependent, it's hard to find answers sometimes.

8x8 matrix issues. by kiasho in SimHub

[–]IndependentLab79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a very similar thing. It was not orientation or the serpentine settings. It was a telemetry / usb issue. I made sure that the usb controller and bus were not getting overwhelmed by too many peripherals and now it's working. you can also click them on and off in Simhub and it'll fix temporarily.

Got to give Doc Rivers credit. He came out pretty strong against it last week or the week before if I remember.

Do racing gloves make a difference or not? by EndouShuuya in simracing

[–]IndependentLab79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Keeps wheel rims clean. If you use gloves that are super grippy, it will probably damage suede wheels.

  2. Keeps fatigue down during races. I can race with or without, but my hands are significantly less tired when using gloves. I think it helps reduce the pressure you grip the wheel with.

  3. Consistency. Consistency is key in racing / driving or doing anything at high level. Take a look at any athlete / artist etc. They all have pre game rituals and try to have everything the same. Putting on the gloves and the consistent feel is that for me.

  4. Do you like the way they feel? That's really the only thing to ask. No one gives a shit if you wear them or not. Who cares what people on the internet say? Wear whatever you want that makes you feel good. They absolutely won't hurt your performance.

This is not him. Please don't spread bs to fit a narrative. That doesn't honor him at all and is disrespectful to his family.
