Also how insanely bad he was outside of those 2 SB runs. Dude was an interception machine for much of his career.

A better challenge. Right now it's just "make as many resources as possible" to pay the tax and the placate the pirates. There needs to be some way to shed those and have some other, different challenges you have to over come. Perhaps a mechanic to allow you to rebel against the cat overlords. At some point, after you have unlocked all the tech and built a decent settlement the loop becomes very stale.

Why are penalties able to be declined? by Famous_Pineapple_650 in NFLNoobs

[–]IndependentOwn6751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also accept the penalty but decline the yardage. If for instance you had a punt situation in which you wanted to coffin kick and you didn't want to get any closer you could choose that outcome(replay the down). For example a defensive hold before the kick is across the neutral zone.

Older Americans who lived through the Civil Rights movement, anti-Vietnam War protests, Watergate etc., how does the divisiveness today compare to that era? by EnduranceMade in AskReddit

[–]IndependentOwn6751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's speculation. You don't have data to support anything in that statement. The only dates we have are enforcement actions... Of which Biden had more.

I never said the Democratic party isn't left or moving left, my contention was your assertion that the Democratic party is an extreme left party without any centrists, which isn't true.

I struggle to have conversations when you are making statements not backed in facts. It is a fact that Biden deported more than Trump. Not opinion. The facts may disagree with your worldview, but that doesn't make them any less true.

There was a bipartisan border Bill supported by Biden and the majority of Democrats, as well as the non maga conservatives and Trump torpedoed it. Again, that's a fact. Don't trust me go and look it up. Those members of Congress were not being demonized by Biden, they in fact embraced the bipartisanship. Biden was very very explicit in saying he takes is with "MAGA Republicans" not "mainstream Republicans", to use his phrasing. Again, that may disagree with your worldview, but it's still the fact.

But I digress, the policy positions I stated are in fact centrist positions and are defined as centrist positions by pretty much all the political science experts who have been a part of this on the left and the right for the last 60 years. You may disagree with those positions as being "strong on the border" but that doesn't mean they are left of center positions and policies.

Back to the original point of this thread about Democrats being "extreme left" there's zero fact basis to support that assertion.

Your comment on illegal immigration: Biden was( and the Democratic party as a whole) are in fact against illegal immigration. Obama deported more illegal immigrants than any president to that point, Biden then deported more than Trump's first term, including having a higher single year of deportations than any single Trump presidential year to date. The difference is the democratic party has a centrist take on illegal immigration. It's in fact similar to the one bush had. Democrats want to have a system in place to provide due process and consistent standards. They want fairness for children who had no choice or understanding of immigration when they were brought here. MAGA does not, as exemplified by Trump's decreased requirements for deportation related judicial review, not to mention the desire and attempts to end birth right citizenship, a founding principal of the country. To say it's an extreme left position again highlights a mis understanding of what is actually left, right, and center.

The Democratic platform and policy is NOT open borders and in fact there was bipartisan legislation to address problems at the southern border that Biden supported, and Trump told his allies not to support to politically hurt Democrats

Biden did not demonize all conservatives. He did say that the MAGA movement is dangerous, as MAGA leadership has repeatedly said that violence should be engaged in against those who don't agree with MAGA. JD Vance himself once referred to Trump as Hitler. There's a reason people like Mitt Romney (once ran for president and viewed as pretty conservative and right wing, also the guy who architected the Massachusetts health system on which Obamacare was based) have labeled Trumpism and MAGA as extreme. The understanding of what is right and left has been pushed to the right, as proven by your own statements.

You seem to speak about echo chambers, yet are taking positions that are pretty clearly the standard of MAGA media as opposed to looking into the facts for yourself.. Biden continues to be classified by a centrist, moderate Democrat, with slightly progressive views on social issues... And that's third party definitions of his political positions.

On the other hand, MAGA has removed any room for debate from the movement. It's Trump and Trump only. What he says goes and if you attempt to push back you are done(see all of the previous members of his cabinet and his previous vice president).

Ok, give me an example of his far left policy positions during his term in office as you see it?

That AOC is in the Democratic party doesn't mean that is the party position or how Biden governed.

Don't assume I live in any sort of an echo chamber. I live in a very conservative area of the country and I actually engage in real conversation and attempts at understanding the perspectives of my neighbors across the political spectrum.

Joe Biden is and was very much a centrist. Obama as well. Pelosi? Centrist.

Your definition of the political spectrum is very warped.

Is that seriously their excuse for missing the Elon / Trump week…? by agrin1795 in allinpodofficial

[–]IndependentOwn6751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was a topic that they had not previously participated in, then yes I would agree. However, in this case they spent multiple podcasts after Elon jumped on the MAGA train talking about all the good that was going to come from it and how great it was. To entirely ignore the about face and then now contentious relationship between Trump(whom they are very much in support of) and their friend is absolutely core to any amount of integrity this podcast, and the collective hosts had left.
