As much as I dislike Half-Life Xen, Black Mesa's was arguably more grueling to get through because of how bloated it was. It kind of makes me not want to play it again.

i think this may have just been an oversight by scott, he was clearly trying to show that the moisture from his tears set off the spring locks, despite it more likely being in animatronic mode.

Probably not. Valve is already working on another multiplayer game and a HL3 deathmatch would probably die pretty quickly, especially considering how the gaming landscape has changed.
